Chapter 600
lan’s cheerful mood quickly turned sour, his aura noticeably colder.
He looked out the window, “Let’s head back to the hotel.”
Back in the hotel room, lan had just come out from a shower when he heard the doorbell.
Upon opening the door, he saw the lobby manager standing outside, respectfully holding a small suitcase
“Sir, this was left by one of the servants from Rosewood Manor. They said it’s your luggage from there.”
lan glanced at the ridiculously cheap suitcase that looked like something they’d pick up for a few bucks:
His eyebrows furrowed, a glint of disgust in his eyes, “Trash it.”
The manager hesitated for a moment, sensing lan’s annoyance, and quickly nodded.
Slamming the door shut, lan took out his phone, found Maja’s private number, and deleted it. He didn’t plan on having any more contact with this woman. Out of sight, out of mind.
He didn’t know that Maja had deleted his number from her phone earlier that evening when the servant brought the suitcase.
But she kept his work number, after all, the project at Greenfield Gardens still needed to be finished.
As she was about to rest, her work phone received a message from lan.
“Heard your hubby’s back?”
Maja didn’t reply. As soon as the job at Greenfield Gardens was done, she’d first delete lan’s number from this phone too.
When lan got no reply to his first message, he sent a second one.
“I left my ring in your room last night, woke up and couldn’t find it.”
The ring?
She suddenly remembered the ‘pigeon egg‘ he was holding.
Though lan was a jerk, he’d gifted a bracelet worth millions before. This ring probably wasn’t cheap either. She didn’t want him to use this ring as an excuse to contact or manipulate her later.
“Mr. Raymond, I’ll look for it tomorrow.”
In other words, it was too late now.
But of course, lan, the kind of person who only understood when others accommodated him, didn’t get the hint.
“Find it now and send it over, or I’ll come and fetch it myself.”
Maja was fuming. What’s wrong with this guy?
She took a deep breath, got up, and checked the time–it was already eleven.
Only he would bother people at this hour without a hint of an apology.
Well, he’s lan, after all.
Determined to cut ties with him, she went out, got in her car, and drove to RosenGarden.
She was seething the entire way. Her chest felt like a ticking bomb.
His profession of ‘liking her‘ seemed more ridiculous by the minute!
Back in her room at RosenGarden, she started looking for the ring.
Given its size, it should’ve been easy to find, but she scoured every inch of the room without any luck.
Meanwhile, at the hotel, lan was toying with the ring in front of him.
He’d found the ring the morning after, one of the items she’d knocked over. He couldn’t just leave it there.

The readers' comments on the novel: Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja)
Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
When will get update?...
What is wrong that the author has not updated this novel in over a month or is there somewhere else that I can continue reading the novel from chapter 1951 upwards? Do tell, please. Thanks....
