lan’s behaviour reminds me of those schoolboy antics where he’d do annoying things on purpose just to get the attention of the girl he liked. Even if he’s met with a glare, at least he’s got her attention. 

Is his idea of romance still stuck at that kindergarten level? 

As expected, Maja’s face darkened. 

Every time he casually said a few words, it always stirred up her anger, so her words tended to be a bit sharp. 

“Mr. Raymond, no matter how useless my husband might be, he’s still better than you. At least he doesn’t try to possess me.”

lan didn’t say anything. He quietly put the fork in his mouth and ate the piece of cake on it. 

Maja was a bit surprised when she saw him put down the fork with a disappointed look. 

She thought he would force her to eat it, so she sighed in relief. 

Soon after, she saw Jeff come in and hand lan a box of a hangover cure. 

lan opened the packaging, inserted a small straw, and held it to her mouth. 

“Have a sip.” 

Maja frowned a bit, and she did drink a bit too much just now. After all, there was a lot she needed to get off her chest, and her emotions were running high. 

She didn’t refuse the hangover cure. 

lan looked at her, breathed a sigh of relief, and then said, “See, being with me isn’t that bad, is it?” 

Maja was taken aback. You gave me a hangover cure, and that’s supposed to be a good thing? 

Compared to the harm you’ve done to me, this is nothing. 

She immediately didn’t want to drink the hangover cure anymore. She put it in his palm. 

“Here, you have it back.” 

lan’s expression became even more serious. He tightly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms. 

“I have my limits.” 

In less than a minute, he showed his true colours. 

Maja found this amusing and looked up at him. 

But in their current position, one sitting in the other’s lap, one looking up, the other looking down, looked like they were flirting from any angle. 

But in reality, their eyes were filled with tension and unease. 

“Mr. Raymond, maybe you should try looking for someone else. It doesn’t have to be me. It would be better for both of us. Don’t you think?” 

Tyler really had nothing to say about these two. They were both so stubborn. 

He didn’t want to meddle anymore, anyway. He always thought that even though lan liked Penny now, it was just a temporary thrill. He’ll lose interest in 

her in less than six months. 

So, let them continue their drama. 

After all, if lan isn’t willing to woo her, no one can force him. 

After Tyler left, lan grabbed Maja’s wrist and left the private room. 

Maja followed behind him, unable to resist asking, “Mr. Raymond, what are you planning to do?”
