The little girl of the Sanders family had a heart condition, but the family was really looking out for her. She had two brothers that were totally over the moon for her. The family was pretty tight–knit and happy. Maja looked down and said, “Mr. Sanders, you might say that, but you really do care about her, don’t you?” 

Beck, decked out in a grey suit, was about to order some coffee, but Maja stopped him, “Maybe skip the coffee tonight.” 

He laughed instantly, “She’s my sister. Of course, I’ve got her back. But she’s been getting more and more hotheaded these past few years, and I think my brother and mom are spoiling her rotten. She used to sneak out to play even with her heart condition. Once, she collapsed from a heart attack after being confronted by a female celeb. That celeb got blacklisted worldwide, even though she didn’t do anything wrong. It was my sister who provoked her first.” 

Beck’s brow furrowed as he talked. 

“My mom and brother have spoiled her with no end in sight. I came home this time, and she threw a tantrum at me because I didn’t manage to invite Master Herbert. No matter how I tried to placate her, it didn’t work, and I had to go back alone.” 

Even though he seemed to be pointing out his sister’s flaws, his words were filled with affection. Maja suddenly didn’t know what to say. After all, she had never experienced this kind of life. 

These kinds of troubles were only for the high and mighty. 

She looked down and silently sipped her lemon water. 

Beck always gave off a laid–back vibe. He looked at Maja and suddenly asked, “We were talking about my sister and lan earlier. Did that bum you out?” 

“Not at all.” 

“Maja, if my sister comes to Greenfield, you and lan will be toast. My family spoiled her. Anything she wanted, my mom and brother would bend over backward to give her.” 

“Your sister is a very lucky girl.” 

That’s why she had so many people who adored her. 

Beck detected a hint of melancholy in her words and immediately pushed a glass of juice towards her. 

“She just lucked out, being born into a good family. If she had this kind of attitude in an ordinary family, she’d have been kicked to the curb a long time ago.” 

Maja just smiled without saying anything. 

Beck continued to comfort her, “There are plenty of fish in the sea, not just lan. If you’re into good–looking guys, I could introduce you to some of my friends.” 

“No need.” 

“Why not?” 

“I,” Before she could finish her sentence, she saw Selena outside the window. 

She instinctively frowned, but before she could look away, Selena had spotted her. 

“You little tramp!” 

Selena stormed in, “Are you using the Raymond family’s fame for your own gain again? Funfly has already called me. What the hell did you do this time?” 

In Selena’s eyes, everything Maja did was wrong. 

Maja felt a bit awkward, especially since it happened in front of Beck. 

“Ms. Casson, you must have seen the news online. I didn’t use the Raymond family’s fame for anything.” 

But as soon as she finished speaking, Selena saw Beck, and her tone became even sharper. 

“You just divorced my son, and you’re already with someone else!” 

Beck didn’t know Selena, but he was a bit surprised when he heard the word ‘divorce.‘ 

Maja couldn’t get through to Selena. In her view, this woman was driven mad by her marriage. 

She was about to leave when Selena grabbed her wrist tightly. 

“Don’t kid yourself! Ian would never fall for someone like you.” 

Just as she was about to slap Maja, Beck pulled Maja back and shielded her behind him. 

Selena finally remembered who Beck was: another rich kid. 

Maja was indeed a gold digger! 

She withdrew her hand and took a deep breath. 

“I knew you were the kind of woman who would do anything for money! You not only ruined my marriage, but you’re also trying to exploit the Raymond family for profit. Don’t even think about it!” 

After saying that, Selena slammed the door as she left. 

Maja stood in place, feeling exhausted from dealing with Selena after a tiring day.
