At that moment, Maja felt as though she’d been smacked upside the head with something. She looked at her in shock, clearly not expecting her to talk this way. She was one of Elvis’s artists, and Elvis was obviously a guy who played by the rules and respected the law. But Wilma was as bright as a freaking sun. 

She seemed fearless; the only thing she seemed to care about was Elvis. 

She seemed to have no filter but was totally clueless when it came to relationships. 

That’s what they called all talk and no trousers. 

Apart from discussing this with Carol, Maja had never talked about it with anyone else, so she was a bit awkward and didn’t know how to respond. 

But Wilma didn’t let her feel awkward. After knowing there was no love affair between her and Elvis, she was back to being her sassy self. 

“If you want to sign me, you’ve got to show some sincerity. You’ve seen my acting so my rates ain’t cheap! And to join Star Movie Group, I’d have to break my contract with Simstar Entertainment. If the big shots at Simstar Entertainment come after me, I might as well kiss my career goodbye.” 

Wilma’s contract was personally overseen by Elvis; it wasn’t one of those “sell your soul” contracts. So if she wanted to leave, the penalty was just a hundred grand. If Maja wanted to poach her from the other company, she was definitely willing to fork out that hundred grand. 

“Would Ms. Wilma consider joining Star Movie Group?” 

“Only if Elvis personally brings me in.” 

“He said himself, That’s not going to happen.” 

“Then I’m not coming.” 

Maja knew how to handle her now, so she walked away, saying, “Forget it then.” 

Sure enough, Wilma was taken aback and quickly followed after her. 

“Maja, persuade me again. As a boss, how can you be so impatient? I don’t see any hope in you. If I switched to your company, I’d definitely be ignored. You really make me sad.” 

Maja stopped in her tracks and told her what she wanted to hear most. 

“Ely’s will be leading other artists, but you’ll all be in the same company; there’ll definitely be plenty of time to interact in the future. I’ll let him see the scripts you’re going to perform first.” 

Wilma’s eyes immediately lit up, and her lips curled into a small smile, revealing her sharp canine teeth. 

“Alright, Maja, I knew you’d understand me. The penalty is a hundred thousand dollars; transfer it to Simstar Entertainment ASAP. I’ll go with you to Star Movie Group right now!” 

Only then did Maja notice that she had canine teeth. 

Oddly enough, in that drama, Maja couldn’t tell Wilma had canine teeth. 

Wilma said, “Because Elvis said that my canine teeth would affect the character’s image, he asked me to hide them when speaking. And if other directors knew had canine teeth, they might hesitate when choosing me.” 

An artist’s overly distinct features can become obstacles to their character’s image. 

With Wilma’s face and those canine teeth, she could only play sweet roles. But her acting talent was so high, it’d be a waste to only play these types of roles. It seemed like Elvis had already given her effective guidance; Maja didn’t have to worry. 

“I’ll arrange for them to prepare the contract.” 

Wilma wanted to celebrate, but she couldn’t let Maja see her eagerness. That’d make her seem too desperate. 

“Alright, then I’ll wait for you. I’m not in that much of a hurry.” 

Back in the car, she thought about Wilma’s performance and couldn’t help but laugh.

Like a kid who started working too early and didn’t have much interaction with peers. 

She was only just over twenty, but she acted like a seasoned pro. 

At this age, normal people were probably still in college, right?
