Maja was on the brink of losing her mind. His laid–back attitude was only going to make his back injury worse. 

Maria was anxious as hell at the side. 

“Ms. Pennyfeather, what do we do now?” 

Maja’s heart was racing. Without hesitation, she hoisted him up and said, “lan, your back is pretty messed up, take the fever reducer first.” 

lan’s eyes were hazy, a combo of being drunk and having a fever, his brain was foggy.

Just as she tried to pull her finger out, he bit down on it. 

Maja’s heart raced, and just as she was about to scream, he bit down on her other finger. 

His warm and moist mouth made her cheeks burn. 

Maria was still there and she freaked out and immediately pushed him away. 

She grabbed a tissue from the side and wiped off the saliva on her fingertips, her face as dark as a pot’s bottom.

Ten minutes later, the doctor arrived and treated his back injury. 

“Ms. Pennyfeather, his back can’t get wet for now and you need to take good care of him.”

Once the doctor left, Maja was about to go upstairs, but lan followed her in a daze,

She thought, He’s already running a 39–degree fever, and yet he can still have that kind of reaction towards her.

After Maja finished cleaning his body, she went to the guest room to rest. 

Lying on the bed, she was still agitated. She felt she should have kicked him out earlier.
