When everyone on the scene came back to their senses, they broke out into thunderous applause. 

No one paid any attention to Alma anymore, and she was just a laughing stock through and through. 

Some of the society ladies immediately swarmed around Maja on stage. 

“Ms. Pennyfeather, you seem to be talented in everything you do. Now we see why Herbert values you so much.” 

“My son needs a violin teacher. Could you possibly tutor him in your spare time?” 

“Ms. Pennyfeather, we hope you can attend our tea party tomorrow. We would be delighted if you could come.” 

A woman’s dignity was not given by men but fought for by herself. 

If Maja were still depending on lan’s help tonight, maybe these people wouldn’t be so friendly towards her. 

She waved with a smile. 

“I’m really sorry, but my company has been quite busy lately.” 

“That’s alright, we all know about your company. Feel free to reach out to us for future collaborations.” 

Maja continued to wave at the crowd with a smile. 

“Alright, thanks, ladies.” 

There were so many people around her, and some even grabbed her hand like they were family. 

“You should attend more of these parties. We all thought you were only good at paint, but we didn’t expect your violin skills to be so impressive.”

There were too many people greeting her, and it took Maja a good ten minutes to squeeze her way to Shawn. 

Shawn stood there, completely stunned, unable to snap out of his shock. 

Maja quickly greeted Bruce. 

“Bruce, do you think my performance was alright? I have to leave early now.” 

Bruce held a glass of wine, smiling kindly at her. 

“Now I seen why Herbert liked you. You’re composed and not arrogant. Good, I will have Shawn’s endorsement contract sent over tomorrow. But Penny, I must say, this is Ford’s first time choosing a global spokesperson. We can’t afford any negative news, so you must keep a tight rein on your artists.” 

“I understand, Bruce.” 

Maja exchanged a few more polite words with him, then started to head outside. 

What she didn’t know was that lan, Fitch, Tyler, and Phelps were all standing by the garden path. 

When everyone was making fun of Maja earlier, Tyler wanted to help but was stopped by lan.
