His gaze was sharp as a knife as if he wanted to slice her into pieces. 

Maja clutched the sheets tightly in silence. Her nerves shot, swallowing hard. 

lan stared at her, not uttering a word, feeling a surge of intense jealousy, as if his heart was being pierced by something sharp and pointed. 

Just then, Jeff knocked on the door. 

“Mr. Raymond, lunch is served.” 

lan had specifically arranged for this, wanting her to have food as soon as she woke up. 

He lowered his gaze, suppressing his emotions, and took the lunch box from Jeff. 

Sensing the tension in the room, Jeff quickly took his leave.. 

As soon as the door closed, lan returned to the bedside, laying out the delicate dishes. 

He stirred the porridge a few times with a spoon, made sure it wasn’t too hot, then scooped a spoonful and held it in front of her. 

“Have some food first,” he said. 

Even if he wanted to kill her, he had to ensure she was well–fed first. 

Maja was exhausted and didn’t expect that she had been talking in her sleep. She racked her brain for an explanation but came up empty.

“Can I have some of the dishes?” she asked.

In the end, lan gave up and let the nurse clean the room. 

He sat in front of the bed, waiting until they were alone in the room before he asked a question full of jealousy. 

‘My grandfather said you had a crush on someone in college. Is that true?” 

Maja knew he would dig until he got to the bottom of it. 

She replied, “No.” 

He asked, “Then who were you calling out just now?” 

Actually, Maja’s sleep talk was very soft, like mumbling something, and lan couldn’t hear clearly what she said. 

It sounded like a name. 

Was it Patric? 

“He’s Coco’s previous owner. I dreamed of Coco. Coco hasn’t been found yet, right? I dreamed it was questioning me, and I quickly explained to him that Coco is doing well now.” 

Coco was still at Greenfield Gardens. Maja had intended to bring it back that night, but for some reason, she left it behind.
