Divorce Clock Ticking (Kenneth and Angela) novel Chapter 52

"Ah!" Jennifer screamed.

She covered her cheek in disbelief, glared at Angela, and scolded, "How dare you slap me!"

As she finished speaking, Angela slapped her again.

"Jennifer, I didn't bother to argue with you about your little tricks before. But now, it seems you thought I was afraid of you."

Jennifer was furious and almost went crazy. She was slapped twice in a row by Angela and couldn't hold back her anger.

She charged forward, intending to slap Angela, but Angela swiftly seized her wrist and forcefully pushed her back. Jennifer's back collided with the kitchen counter, and the sharp pain prompted an involuntary cry.

Angela looked at her coldly. "It seems that those two slaps just now haven't woken you up yet."

Seeing Angela approaching her, Jennifer bit her lower lip. She knew that she was no match for her, feeling fear unconsciously.

Just as Angela stood in front of Jennifer, the kitchen door was pushed open.

Jennifer's eyes lit up with surprise when she saw Kenneth at the door.

"Kenneth, help me. I just accidentally knocked over the meal that Angela made, but Angela slapped me twice and didn't let me go..."

Seeing Jennifer's tearful look, Angela sneered and delivered two more slaps, causing Jennifer's face to swell instantly.

Angela raised an eyebrow and said, "Now, go ahead and complain."

Jennifer hated Angela and wanted to kill her immediately.

"Kenneth, I really didn't mean it... I just wanted to help Angela..."

Angela looked at Jennifer with a cold face and snorted, "If you keep speaking in such a voice, I might give you two more slaps then."

Jennifer dared not to speak upon hearing this.

Standing at the door, Kenneth couldn't help but frown and said coldly, "Angela, Jennie is your sister. Don't go too far."

Angela shot him a cold, emotionless look. "If you don't discipline her, I'll go really far, I swear."

After saying that, she walked out of the kitchen.

When she passed by Kenneth, he suddenly took her hand.

Angela frowned and was about to shake his hand away when Kenneth's cold voice reached her ear. "Why didn't you tell me that your arms are injured?"

Angela lowered her gaze and glanced at the blisters on her arms. She didn't care about them at all.

"It has nothing to do with you."

"Go and sit on the sofa. Where is the medicine kit?"

Angela pulled her hand off Kenneth's and looked at him impatiently. "Rather than worrying about me, you should be concerned about Jennifer."

After saying that, she turned around and left directly.

Kenneth stared at her back with cold eyes.

He could feel that although Angela agreed to care for him, she had no intention of reconciling with him.

She still wanted a divorce.

"Kenneth..."

Jennifer's soft voice reached his ear. Kenneth turned around and saw Jennifer looking at him aggrievedly with tears in her eyes.

But her cheeks were red and swollen. Her aggrieved expression didn't add a pitiable temperament to her but made her look a bit funny.
