Divorce Clock Ticking (Kenneth and Angela) novel Chapter 66

Angela felt surprised and replied, "It will take at least three months. It mainly depends on the effect of rehabilitation in the later period."

Kenneth nodded. "I got it."

"Why did you ask it all of a sudden? Do you want to get better soon?"

"Nope, just checking."

Angela said nothing and went to the bathroom to fetch water and wipe Kenneth's body. She had done it once before, so she behaved calmly this time.

After finishing it, Angela looked at Kenneth and said, "I'll sleep next door tonight, Mr. Sinclair. Just call me if you need anything."

Hearing this, Kenneth suddenly turned gloomy and got furious about Angela's words.

"We're still married, Angela. I'm paralyzed now. How could you let me sleep alone?"

Angela frowned and said, "You were able to shower and go to the bathroom alone at the hospital."

"It's totally different! You refused to take care of me in the hospital, so I had to do it myself."

Angela met Kenneth's cold gaze and pressed her lips nervously.

"Well, I got it. I'll stay here tonight."

Angela took the quilt and put it on the ground. Kenneth stayed silent but looked indifferent.

Angela had tucked the covers in and intended to turn off the lights when her cell phone suddenly rang.

She turned on the phone and found it was Karen calling, which left her surprised. After all, Karen had never taken the initiative to call her before.

Angela hung up the phone directly without any hesitation.

Karen called a few more times. Angela got tired of it and simply blocked her number.

Soon, Angela got a message from Jennifer.

[Why did you block Mom's number, Angela? What you did has already been posted online. When she went to an upper-class party today, the other wealthy ladies all jeered at her. She almost fainted out of anger.]

[If you get my message, call Mom right away.]

Angela pressed her eyes, clicked on Instagram, and immediately found a hot search.

She found a story about her beating and cheating.

Angela clicked in and found a video of herself lecturing Debra at the mall.

Moreover, an influence revealed that she had a messy relationship with Jennifer's boyfriend and even insulted Jennifer on purpose.

Angela got furious. She was not a celebrity, so someone deliberately framed her and exposed it online.

She stayed silent for a while, then called Brenda directly.

"Can you help me find out what's going on online? I guess Debra made it."

Soon, Brenda called back.

"I've already found out. Debra suddenly got a part of Generations. Today, at the movie's launch, she tried to get some attention, saying she had the same experience as the role and was confident of carrying it.

"Under the journalists' questioning, she revealed the incident of you hitting her in the mall. She portrayed herself as a righteous girl standing up for her friend, claiming that you stole her best friend's boyfriend. She even bribed some entertainment influencers to spread these rumors!

"She is out of line. I have to teach her a lesson myself."

Angela felt surprised and said, "Is she in Generations?"

Brenda was speechless and refuted, "That's not the point! She framed you for meddling with Jennifer and Kenneth. How do you plan to fight back?"

Angela sneered. She figured if she didn't answer the phone, Paul wouldn't stop.

She walked to the balcony, and when she answered it, Paul's dissatisfied voice came from the other side. "Have you checked the news online, Angela? The matter has affected the Lewis Group's stock price. You need to apologize publicly."

Angela smiled, raised her eyebrows, and said, "Why should I apologize?"

Paul and Karen must know that she hadn't gotten in the way of Jennifer and Kenneth's relationship.

"I understand your grievance. But the public outcry had affected the Lewis Group. I wonder if you could apologize for the company. I'll make it up to you later."

Angela felt completely disappointed. In this case, she didn't expect Paul to ask her to apologize, not clarify.

If she apologized, she just confirmed her identity as a mistress.

"The Lewis Group has nothing to do with me. Why should I wrong myself for its sake? Moreover, I'm not wrong, and I won't apologize."

When she finished speaking, a noise suddenly came from the other end of the phone, and Karen's angry voice sounded the next second.

"You finally showed your true colors, Angela. But here's the fact: Jennie is the only heir to the Lewis Group. You won't even get a penny of our property!"

Angela had already learned Karen's partiality, but she still couldn't help but feel distressed at that moment.

"In that case, why don't you ask Jennifer to explain that I never ruined her relationship with Kenneth? Why are you calling me?"

"How dare you?"

Karen even gasped out of anger.

"This is your mess. Why do you need Jennie to handle it? If you refuse to apologize, I'll disown you."

Angela chuckled, "I won't apologize. Just perish the thought."
