Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover novel Chapter 911

After Chloe set the food down, she walked back into the room. She grabbed a thick blanket from the couch and headed out to the balcony, gently draping it over Pax's shoulders. Then, she settled into the wicker chair next to him.

"Mr. Thompson said you haven't eaten in days," she said softly.

Pax turned his head slightly, his eyes dull and distant. "I just don't have an appetite. I'm not hungry."

"Pax, I get it," Chloe replied, her voice gentle. "I've been through some tough times myself. But eventually, I realized you have to keep looking forward. Dwelling on past pain only makes life feel darker."

Pax gazed out into the distance, lost in thought. "Chloe, my world has always felt like this."

This year had been particularly tough for him, filled with too much to handle.

"I'm confused," Pax admitted. "I don't even know what the point of life is anymore."

Chloe felt a pang in her heart. She knew how dangerous that feeling was. She had wrestled with depression during her own toughest times and recognized the despair in his words.

"Pax, life doesn't always need some grand meaning. Sometimes, just being alive is enough," she said.

"Pax, I feel like my life is one big joke."
