What? No!

Ava shook her head. She did not want to go with Ian. She was terrified just from seeing his angry look.

Ronald let out a sigh as he stared at lan, waiting for him to say something.

Bro, can’t you do that?

Ian blew smoke out of his mouth and muttered,

Ask her who brought her here. He will drop her back.

Ava gulped when she heard his deep voice. All the confidence that she had raised against him washed away tonight.

She could not forget the moment when she saw him stabbing the boy’s arm. It pierced her mind. 2

Ronald’s lips curledes he smiled.

Then I am leaving,he said to Ava.

When he glanced at Ian again, his smile turned into a smirk

Bye, bro,he muttered to Ian.

Ian gave him a stern look. Ronald turned around and headed to where he had parked his car.

Meanwhile, Ava was feeling awkward.

She was with Ian Dawson. She took a few deep breaths to keep herself under control.

She gazed at Ian.

He was still smoking.

Smoking is not good for health, she muttered in a low tone.

Ian’s hand paused as the cigarette between his fingers came close to his lips.

He turned his head to look at her.

She averted her gaze away from her, fixing her gaze on the couple.

With his arms wrapped around the girl, the boy was giving her a passionate kiss.

Ava could see love in their actions. She wondered if lovers came there to enjoy their time there.

Who told you it is bad for your health?Ian asked and continued to smoke.

If you don’t want to listen, that’s your choice. Don’t ask stupid questions, she replied, knowing that everyone knew about it.

While looking at her, he muttered,

You are more harmful to my health.

She turned to him and asked,

What?”

He shifted his gaze and bit the cigarette between his lips.

You like Lake, don’t you?

He asked that out of nowhere. She frowned at him. How many times do I have to tell you that?

He nodded his head. No need to answer again.

He turned to her and moved toward her. You can keep it to yourself. I don’t want to listen to that nonsense anyway.

Ava backed away until her back was against a wall,

But he did not stop from moving closer.

WWhat are you doing?

Looking at you,he replied simply.

He raised his hand to smoke again while staring at her.

She blinked, staring at the bad boy. The way he was looking at her, it seemed like she was an obsession to his eyes.

Her gaze lowered from his face and moved to his broad shoulder. She noticed a bruise on his arm, which was unnoticed by the others because of his tattoos.

If she looked closely, she could see a deep cut. She remembered a moment in the fight a few minutes ago when a boy tried to hit him with a bottle of beer, but he dodged with his arm. It was possible that he got hurt that time.

YYour arm.

He moved his gaze from her and looked at his arm. He returned his gaze to her.

Are you concerned about me?

His sudden question stunned her. She immediately looked away from him and cleared her throat.

No, I am not. I was just saying that because you helped my brother a while back.

Ian scoffed upon hearing her. Yeah, sure. But I should not have saved him though.

She gave him a surprised look. But why? He is your close friend, isn’t he? You wasted your time in the car too.

Ian’s eyes were fixed on her, making her feel nervous.

Her eyes continuously went on his arm.

She was unaware of how dangerous these men were until tonight. They could kill anyone, and no one would say anything to them.

Why did all of you fight with those boys? Why did they cage Stephen like that?

Ian heard her questions. He inhaled the smoke deeply as his mind could not stay in her voice. His eyes were on her soft lips.

They are drug dealers. They wanted to sell drugs to the students, which we don’t want. So when Stephen caught them, they caged him.

And why did you and Stephen fight?

He raised an eyebrow and took another step toward her. I am sure you would prefer not to know the reason.

She shook her head. No, I want to know.
