Maximilian stretched himself and woke up to find Victoria checking on her laptop. Suddenly, she looked troubled. Seeing this, he looked at her laptop subconsciously and found that she was looking at the trends of Topyuan Group’s stock price which plunged so dramatically that it was on the verge of crash. It didn’t make sense. If it kept dipping, things would be out of control.
“What’s going on? Is the laptop broken?” Victoria was so upset and couldn’t believe that her company’s stock price just dropped completely. Every morning she checked her company’s stock price with the hope that it would become better and better. To her surprise, it ended up this way.
Maximilian said calmly, “I say you stop checking it now. Call your assistant to find it out later. Maybe the laptop is broken.”
Victoria nodded then she got a call from her assistant and was told that Topyuan Group had been attacked by many companies and the stock price was on the verge of crash which might result in bankruptcy later today if things kept going on.
Victoria didn’t expect it to be so terrible. She was too shocked to believe it. “How is that possible?” said Victoria suspiciously.
Maximilian believed that there must be someone rocking the boat. There were only two people who could cause this trouble, be it Dragon Queen or Head of dragon lords. No matter who it was, he wouldn’t let them have their way.
The plunge of Topyuan Group’s stock price also caught the attention of the TV station which broadcast the news. Quite a lot of people watched the news and reacted differently.
In the largest racing club in H City, Canaan happened to see the news on TV. He frowned at the news because he was crystal clear that Topyuan Group was the base for his master Maximilian and his wife. It never occurred to him that such crisis would happen to Topyuan Group. He didn’t called his master. Instead, he bought as many of Topyuan Group’s stock shares as he could.
In the luxury office, Theo and Darian were also shocked at the news for a moment. Then they became happy watching the news because it was not bad news but great news to them. They were almost thrilled to see Topyuan Group in such a crisis.
“Haha! Karma is real, Victoria.” Darian burst into laughter knowing that it was about Victoria while Theo began to look troubled.
“Brother, what are you frowning at? Isn’t it great news?” asked Darian in doubt.
“I’m just worried that the Griffith’s company may be implicated if Topyuan Group goes bankrupt.” It was not Topyuan Group but the Woods’ company that he was worried about. Although the Griffith’s company was no longer his, he had always been thinking of reclaiming it from Victoria. It didn’t bother him if Topyuan Group went broke. What bothered him was that the Griffith’s might go broke as well.
“Then how?” Darian became worried too when he heard that the Griffith’s might go broke as well.
Theo said in a low voice, “There’s only one solution. That is to ask Dad to make Victoria break up with the Griffiths and hand over her rights of ruling the Griffith’s company.”
“Isn’t that way out of line?” Darian was ashamed of hearing that. Although he was ruthless, he, unlike his brother, still had his conscience on such issues.
