Other people took Maximilian as a subordinate of Jude. Only Jude knew that she was the subordinate in their relationship.
She tried to mediate the dispute and said, "Dad, Mom, please go and cook for us."
It was only then that the two realized that they hadn't cooked the meal yet. Jude smiled at Maximilian and said, "My cooks the best braised pork in the world. You should really have a try."
Maximilian nodded, but Aescul felt very resentful. He was right there next to the two, but Jude treated him as if he didn't exist. To catch her eyes, he rubbed and cut into their conversation. "Little Ju..."
Jude's face immediately turned cold upon hearing him calling her that. She turned back to him and said, "Please don't call me that."
Aescul's lips twitched. The woman laughed when she talked to Maximilian, and when she talked to him, she looked like a totally different person.
Aescul laughed awkwardly, "I know you hate me, but at least you don't have to be so close to him and ignore me. You should talk to me, too."
Jude said calmly, "I don't think we have anything to talk about. I hope you can leave as early as you can. That would be a blessing."
Aescul looked at Maximilian with resentment, thinking that Li Mo had stolen his thunder. He took out his Maserati car key and spun it around his finger. Then he said, "Jude, why don't we go for a ride after the meal? You've been working for a whole day, and it's time for you to relax."
"That's not necessary. I'll go for a walk with him," Jude refused him coldly. She knew Aescul's type and she would never go for a ride with this kind of guy.
The first time when he told her he liked her, she refused him on his face; the second time he still insisted to tell her, and he and even tried to touch her.
Jude could have been taken advantage of by him already if she hadn't learned self-defense. When she looked at Aescul, she found no difference between this man and a hooligan.
Aescul's face was gloomier than ever. She would rather talk a walk with an ordinary man instead of taking a ride with him. That made him upset.
He wondered why he meant less than a poor young man to her. Other women would've agreed to take a ride with him upon his request, but Jude didn't do that.
Maximilian ignored the murderous look in Aescul's eyes. If that could kill, he could have been killed but the upset man a million times; however, it seemed that Aescul now could do nothing but be upset.
Aescul sneered, "Do you even have a car?"
Maximilian smiled and answered, "Yes."
"And the car key?" Aescul was taunting.
Maximilian wasn't showing off. He had the car keys, but he didn't want to compete with him. The arrogant young man was like a clown to him.
Seeing Maximilian pause for a second, Aescul thought he didn't have the car keys, so he mocked again, "Aha! I knew it! You don't have the car keys! I thought you have grown up, but it seemed that a liar would always be a liar!"
Maximilian laughed when he heard what he said. He looked at Aescul as if he was looking at an idiot.
Feeling Maximilian contemplating eyes, Aescul couldn't hold his anger anymore. He challenged Maximilian and said, "You've got a problem with me? Why don't you have a fight with me, and the loser will get out of here?"
