Natasha felt a little uneasy about Yancy's request. She hadn't had many interactions with Quentin and didn't really know what kind of person he was.
"You don't need to stress over it. Just let Mr. Anderson know about it. Whatever he decides is completely up to him," Yancy said.
Natasha gave a nod. The request wasn't unreasonable. After all, not having to attend classes freed up a lot of her time.
She went on to confirm a few minor details with Yancy. By the time she snapped back to reality, Zachary was nowhere to be seen.
"Alright, it's getting late. Don't forget what I asked you about just now," Yancy reminded her once more.
Natasha smiled and nodded.
She had just slipped a few documents into her backpack. When she looked up, she noticed Zachary sitting on a bench outside.
"Mr. Foster, were you waiting for me?"
Natasha walked over with a smile. It was as if none of the earlier tension ever happened.
Zachary was slightly surprised by how composed she was. Then, he laughed and replied, "Of course. I doubt anyone other than Ms. Bradley could keep me waiting this long."
"Oh, what an honor," Natasha replied playfully with a laugh. She started walking, and Zachary jogged a few steps to walk beside her.
The two of them got caught up in conversation. They were completely unaware that Nicole had just passed by.
Nicole had only just arrived on campus, but the gossip about Zachary and Natasha had already spread like wildfire.
The university was filled with people who loved to gossip. So within minutes, rumors had spread everywhere.
Nicole felt completely ignored. She stomped her foot and turned to leave. By then, Natasha and Zachary were already long gone.
However, Nicole wasn't here to stir up trouble. She had business to take care of today.
Nicole stepped into Yancy's office in her high heels. Then, she tossed a document onto his desk.
