Enchanted Nightfall: Falling for Destiny (Quintessa and Tyrone) novel Chapter 384

Tyrone gently let go of Quintessa, signaling he needed to step out for a call.

Quintessa's eyes fluttered open, curiosity lighting up her face. This call must be immensely important.

Tyrone lifted his chin with a hint of sass. "Trade secrets, ever heard of 'em? Can't have everyone in on it. You, maybe, but that guy? He's my rival in love. Think I'd let him in on it?"

With a teasing smirk, Tyrone stepped out, only to pause and turn back, "While I'm out making this call, I want both of you to keep it straight. No funny business... or else."

Alexander chuckled, shaking his head.

Once Tyrone left, Alexander asked Quintessa, "Do you like him?"

Quintessa hesitated, "I'd rather not say."

A shade of sadness crossed Alexander's eyes, "Got it."

If it were a flat no, Quintessa would've said so. But her reluctance meant she was torn.

His best friend and the woman he loved were together.

Life, indeed, is full of unexpected turns.

...

At the end of the hallway, Tyrone's figure loomed tall under the dim light, a stark contrast to his playful demeanor moments ago.
