Enemies Become Mates novel Chapter 20

"Oh sorry, then follow me!" I nodded my head and he started to walk creating a path. I followed closely behind him. I'll admit he's helpful right now, got a big stature and people would willingly move out the way.

Eventually we did manage to get outside and I breathed in the nice fresh air. It was oddly humid in there and it was not comfortable to take in air. Elliot was sitting down on the steps, his head was leaning on the column. He was staring mindlessly into the grass. I stood in front of him and it seemed like he was still in a daze. I waved my hand in front of him and he blinked before looking at me.

"Are you ok?" I asked him, yes I am concern because he's a bit too nice right now.

"I'm a bit drunk." He mumbled.

"A bit drunk? You sure?" I snickered a bit. I don't think he's a bit drunk now.

"Ok I am drunk, very drunk." Elliot admitted.

"Then go home." I suggested like it was the most obvious thing.

"I would but Thomas was my ride here." He sighed out. My mouth formed an 'O' and I nodded my head. I pursed my lips in a fine line and held out my hand.

"I'll take you home then, you helped me back there after all. Call it being even. " Elliot stared at my hand and he looked at me weirdly.

"Thanks but I rather not got home. My mom will chew me out if she finds out I'm drunk. I don't need her nagging at me. I'll just camp out here for tonight." I'm not going to lie I feel guilty for some odd reason. Probably because I feel like I'm in debt to him. A stupid thought popped up in head and I pushed it back in my head. However it just resurfaced and I really thought deeply about it.

What's the worse that could happen.

"Then let's go to my house, no one is home you can crash there for the night." I pulled him up from the steps and started to usher him to the car.

"Your house?" Elliot glanced back behind him.

"Yes my house, I'm just repaying you for saving me back there. Don't think much of it." I said.

We got into the car and started to drive off. As I drove I would ever so often glance towards him to see if he was alive because he was extremely quiet. Then to came to realize he was deep asleep, now look at him. Who's the comfortable one now?

"What are you doing?!" I cried out.

"I'm hot and I don't like sleeping with a shirt on." He said like it was the most obvious thing.

"Well today you're going to sleep with your shirt on! Now put it down!" I tried to push his wrist down and he didn't budge one bit.

"No."

"No?!"

"Yeah, I said no." He deadpanned. I want to choke him now, like really and right now.

"God you're so...Ugh I don't even have the words to describe you!" I again tried to push his hand down and he rolled his eyes at me. My mouth dropped down, isn't he a bit too sassy for a drunk man?!
