Enemies Become Mates novel Chapter 28

He closed my locker and then suddenly all I could see was Elliot's ass in my face upside down. This man did not just throw me over his shoulder?! He was walking really fast trying to leave the school and I swear the intense eyes of some these male students were crazy. I noticed how Elliot's scent became way stronger than usual, in fact it was very pungent now. He's really releasing his pheromones to warn them to back off.

We made it outside but Elliot continued walking the opposite direction of my car. I looked at my car getting smaller and smaller until I was set down on the ground. We were by a car, assuming it's his car actually. He opened the door and pointed for me to get in. I listened since he looks extremely irritated. He got in after me and started driving to the direction of my home.

I stayed quiet in this very awkward car ride. This is very embarrassing for me, I thought it was just Mother Nature. No I was in heat actually, I think there's something wrong with me. Wasn't I too suppose to go feral myself? Especially considering I am unmated.

I'm really built weird.

We arrived at my house and I quickly ran out the car anatomy house. I made sure there weren't any other wandering werewolves around. This is dangerous I can't really stay by myself, and I don't want to bother my brothers either. My hands fell to my head and I dramatically fell to the ground.

"What do I do? Should I take a shower? Will that work?" I rambled to myself.

"No it won't, you just have to wait it out." Elliot waltz into my house and closed the door locking it.

"Wait it out? I'm in danger, who knows if there's wandering werewolves waiting to devour me!" I cried out and shook his shoulder.

"I'll be here, you're safe." I stopped shaking him and stared at his face. I furrowed my eyebrows and took 3 big steps back.

"No aren't you more of a threat? You are my mate, are you even ok? Oh my god what did I do?! I'm more in trouble now!" I cried out.

"Cassie calm down! I'm fine!" He grabbed my shoulders this time trying to keep me calm.

"Are you sure? Positive? Like mega positive?" I questioned him intently.

"Yes now go to your room." Elliot turned me around and started to push me upstairs.

Elliot's POV

I was staring up at her ceiling as I hear her slow paced heartbeat fill my head. I was using that to distract myself. Her scent was definitely overwhelming, it was almost intoxicating in a way. Anyone would get drunk from her scent and it was even hard for me

The moment she was on school ground, I knew it was going to be trouble. I felt the shift in all of the unmated males there. Not only that but when that one boy try preying on her, I got pissed. Well more like my wolf did, he took over for a hot second. If I didn't get back in control, there would've been a death in the school.

I took in a deep breath which was a big mistake on my part. Her room is just filled with her scent, if I have to hold my breath to make sure I keep in control I will. My instincts were screaming to claim her and to suppress that I had to keep my mind insanely blank. My eyes landed on her and she was sleeping away as if she forgot the potential threat in her room. Sometimes I think she has no self awareness when it comes to danger.

I can tell she was struggling against the heat, when I picked her up her body temperature was abnormally high. Even now she has a pain expression on her face. I stood up from my the floor and made my way towards her. I grabbed a tissue from her nightstand and wiped the sweat off of her forehead. Cassie's eye fluttered open but I couldn't tell if she was fully awake or not. There was frown on her lips and she grabbed my hand.
