"I see we all have English together." Ace spoke and I rolled my eyes.
"No one cares." Elliot said.
"I too agree with that." I snorted.
We all sadly entered English together and I went to my seat. I can sense two people following behind me and I glanced behind me. Elliot and Ace were standing next to each other just staring at me. I looked between the two of them and crossed my arms.
"You can sit down, the devil can go somewhere else." I gestured towards Elliot seat.
"Come on Cass no need to be so mean." Ace frowned and even had the audacity to give me some puppy dog eyes. I rolled my eyes and faced Elliot, he looked surprise for some reason.
"How's your morning?" I asked him out of the blue. Elliot's was resting his chin on the palm of his hands and I admit he looked really handsome right now. Oh my god what is wrong with me?! I shouldn't even think like this bad brain. Bad brain!
"Good. How about yours?" Elliot answered.
"It was well, then it got ruined by that stone standing here looking stupid." I gestured my hand towards Ace and he scoffed. He was about to say something but thankfully the teacher did indeed walked in right on time.
Ace sat down in his new seat which was a few feet away from me and it wasn't enough distance. Since that rat would occasionally glance towards me. I put my book in a standing position to block his face and I literally ducked behind it. I hate it here, and him mostly him. He's still suspicious I don't care what anyone says, it may have been a few years ago but I know crazy when I see it.
"Are you good?" Elliot whispered.
"No I am not, I don't want to be here when he's around. I feel uncomfortable." I talked quite grumpy.
"You want to ditch after this class, I know a place." Elliot suggested. My ears perked up in curiosity. Now I'm not one to ditch trust me, I never have however my circumstances are making do it.
"I would decline, but I shall take your offer." I held out my hand for a shake and he happily shook on it.
English went by smoothly surprisingly, and once the bell rang I stood up from my seat. I threw all my things in my book bag and made a bee line to the door. I made it out to the hallway and was very much determine to leave from the back entrance. Everything was going according to plan until I felt someone grab my wrist stopping me.
"Cassie wait I want to talk to yo-"
I peeked down from the cliff watching the waves crash into the cliffside. Elliot wasn't wrong this is a nice place to runaway too. Despite it being a 30 minute drive it was worth it. I wonder how he found this place, it's pretty secluded and covered by the massive tall trees.
Elliot came back from the car with some random blanket and set it on the ground. We both took a seat and just sat there in silence. I listened to the birds screeching about, and the waves. Yes this was indeed calming and it was letting myself think a bit.
"So...what happen between you and Ace?" Elliot broke the silence and I pursed my lips in a thin line.
"Damn no warning? Just gonna ask like that?" I joked and looked at him. He rolled his eyes and leaned back a bit.
"Yes, I'm not going to sugar coat it. I'm genuinely curious and concerned since you're not afraid of no one." Elliot explained.
"Ah you've been keeping an eye on me I see. Good to know." I said.
"Cassie..." He was very serious and I started to fiddle with my hands. I don't like telling the story since it was so haunting for a kid to see you know. Especially the betrayal I felt too.
