The window on the passenger side of the car rolled down, and the driver leaned out, addressing the two of them, "Mrs. Sherman, we were sent by Jasmine to pick up Austin. Please get in the car."

Daisy asked in surprise, "Really? That's great. We don't need to take a taxi then. Austin, let's get in the car."

Austin looked through the car window at the back seat, her small face calm.

Suddenly, she gently pulled Daisy's hand back and said, "Grandma, I want to buy something to eat first. I'm hungry."

"We'll eat when we get home! It won't be long," Daisy said.

Austin tugged Daisy's hand forward and said, "But I'm really hungry. I didn't eat lunch at school."

"We'll be home in a little while. What do you want to eat? I can't afford it. If you want something, ask your mom for money," Daisy said.

But Austin kept pulling Daisy's hand forward without saying a word.

Then they turned into a small alley outside the school.

There were many stalls selling snacks in the alley, and Austin led her straight ahead.

Seeing that the alley was filled with street vendors, Daisy realized they wouldn't spend much money. She asked, "Okay, what do you want to eat? I'll buy it for you!"

Austin glanced back, quickened her pace, and continued forward.

When they reached behind a small stall, Austin looked up at her, tugged at her clothes, and motioned for her to crouch down.

Daisy bent down curiously and asked, "What's wrong? Why so mysterious?"

"That driver is suspicious. The driver from the Francis family always gets out of the car to open the door for us," Austin said.

Daisy felt a sudden chill in her heart, "You... What are you saying?"

Austin looked at the man in a suit who was walking into the alley and quickly told Daisy, "Notify my dad. I've already memorized the license plate number."

Austin told Daisy the license plate number and then, carrying her backpack, walked out from behind the vendor.

The man across the street saw Austin and smiled, "Miss, did you buy your stuff?"

Austin tilted her head and asked, "Why haven't I seen you at home before?"
