“What do you think?” Jalen raised his eyebrows and didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

If he didn’t cook for Elaina, he wouldn’t have gone to so much trouble being here.

He was worried that she would muddle through the dinner. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be a chef for her.

Elaina laughed and walked over. “What can I help you with? Although I don’t know how to cook, good at processing the ingredients.”

“No. Help me take the dishes to the table. It’ll be ready soon,” Jalen said. He didn’t expect Elaina to help him wash the groceries.

“Alright.” Elaina nodded.

“Be careful. Don’t burn yourself.” Jalen urged worriedly. He regretted letting her serve the dishes.

“Mr. Halton, I am not a child. I am not that stupid.” Elaina rolled her eyes at him and put the dishes on the table. She didn’t hurt herself and made Jalen worry about her.

She wondered why he thought she was so stupid. Jalen even had to especially warn her to be careful. Did she look that stupid?

Jalen smiled and did not care about her retort. “I am worried about you. Can’t you tell?”

“It’s unnecessary,” Elaina said.

While speaking, Jalen had finished the last dish and walked out with the dishes. “All the dishes are

ready.”

They sat opposite each other. Looking at the three dishes and a soup on the table, Elaina felt

satisfied.

She gave Jalen a thumbs up and said, “Awesome. They look good and smell fragrant. You’re worthy

of a powerful man.”

“Do you like it?” Jalen looked at her and smiled, “If you like it, I will cook for you every day.”
