Chapter 333
Bryan was so scared that he did not dare to speak. He even could not help but tremble.
He had known Jalen for so many years. This was the first time he had seen Jalen like this. It was natural that he could not react.
“I must warn you that if you say another word that you should not say, I will make your family disappear from New York. Do you believe me?”
After that, he threw away Bryan, turned around to wash his hands, and left.
Bryan was lying on the ground. It was a while before he came back to his senses. He couldn’t help but curse, “Jalen! You bastard!”
Long after Jalen returned to the private room, Bryan returned. Everyone found that he didn’t seem good, but no one asked.
Elaina glanced at Jalen sitting beside her and asked in a low voice, “Did you teach him a lesson?”
“Yes. How dare he speak to you like that?” Jalen did not deny it.
“Actually, it’s fine. I’m not angry. There’s no need to make it a big deal.” They were friends, after all, and Elaina didn’t want them to fight because of her.
Jalen smiled and pulled her into his arms. He whispered in her ear, “You are not angry because you are generous. It is not a reason for him to bully you.”
Bully? she thought.
Elaina did not feel that she was being bullied. She would not let herself be bullied. Even if Bryan was
Jalen’s friend, she would talk back when he was mean.
Of course, she was still happy that Jalen took her side.
The gathering went on very late when Jalen and the others were almost drunk.
Elaina was helpless. She called for substitute drivers for them and drove Jalen back.
“Jalen, where is your key?” Elaina asked as she supported him at the door.
