Chapter 77
Alisha suddenly felt that Jalen was somewhat unfamiliar. She had only been away for two years. Why did she feel as if she had left for ten years? Jalen was so different from the man she remembered that Alisha was confused.
“I will ask Marcus to personally apologize to you. I promise. This won’t happen again,” Alisha said helplessly. She knew that Jalen wouldn’t move on easily.
However, Jalen didn’t agree. Instead, he said, “I’m not the one he should apologize to.”
Alisha was stunned and couldn’t believe what she heard. “You want Marcus to apologize to that woman?”
“Shouldn’t he?” Jalen asked back, keeping a straight face. His tone was very unfriendly.
“Who does she think she is?” Alisha almost blurted out, but she didn’t dare to say it in the end.
Regardless of whether Jalen was on a whim or something else, he cared about that woman very much now. Alisha couldn’t risk offending that woman.
After a short silence, Alisha nodded and said, “Sure. I will call him over and apologize. As for that lady…”
“I will call her. But it is not up to me whether she is willing to accept his apology or not,” Jalen said as he took out his phone and called Elaina.
How dare she not accept it?
Anger rose in Alisha’s heart. But she didn’t dare to show a trace of it in front of Jalen. She had already secretly hated Elaina.
After dinner, Elaina and Theodore returned to the hospital. Just as they were looking through the medical records of the patient for surgery tomorrow, Elaina received a call from Jalen.
“Are you saying that Marcus is going to apologize to me personally?” Elaina asked with a half-smile, thinking of the lewd look on Marcus’ face. She really doubted it.
“Yes, but you can refuse,” Jalen said. He didn’t want to force Elaina to accept it.
Elaina thought for a moment and said, “Since you call me personally, the Lory family sent you a lobbyist, right?”
Jalen looked at Alisha who was facing him and acknowledged with a hum on the phone.
