Elaina felt that no one had kicked Saul’s ass before, or else he would not have said something so annoying.

Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to continue working. As for why Jalen was afraid of the dark, she did not want to pursue it anymore. Anyway, it had nothing to do with her.

She was busy in the hospital until night. Unfortunately, when she returned to the apartment, she happened to meet Jalen.

She had to put moving on the agenda!

In the elevator, Elaina leaned against the corner and completely ignored Jalen.

After a long time, Jalen couldn’t remain calm and asked, “Did grandpa call you?”

“Mr. Halton, are you talking to me?” Elaina raised her eyes to look at him. She knew the answer but she still asked.

Jalen’s face turned slightly dark as he tried to hold back his anger. “Who else am I talking to? Is there anyone else here?”

“OK,” Elaina replied, “Yes, he did.”

“Will you go?” Jalen asked again.

“Grandpa invited me, so of course, I’ll go,” she replied.

Without waiting for Jalen to continue speaking, Elaina immediately said, “Mr. Halton, if you do not want to see me, I will avoid you that day. I guarantee that you won’t see me.”

As the host of the banquet, it was understandable that Jalen did not want to see her. No one wanted to see someone who scolded him.

“Elaina, I think you have a deep misunderstanding about me,” Jalen suddenly said. Why did she

think that he did not want to see her? It was obvious that she did not want to see him.

Elaina shrugged and did not take his words seriously.

There were so many misunderstandings between her and Jalen, so it wasn’t a big deal in her mind.
