Chapter 159 Arrive at the Same Time to Save Norah
"Norah!"
Matthew immediately ran over.
Paul also followed closely after him.
Seeing someone coming, the few men around were cautious for a moment, but they were still fierce, "Who are you? I advise you to mind your own business. This is not the time for you to play the hero."
"Paul," Matthew shouted, giving Paul a look. And the meaning of his look was clear.
"Yes, sit. Don't worry."
Several men were beaten to the ground in less than a few minutes.
Out of fear, Norah was still shrinking in the same position she had just been in. She hugged herself tightly like a pitiful and helpless little white rabbit, letting others feel sorry for her.
When Matthew looked at her, his heart ached for her.
Norah's eyes were red, and she was curled up, trembling.
Matthew walked over and reached out a hand to pull her up.
However, Norah gave a violent shudder and tried hard to step back.
Her eyes were closed, and her heart was filled with endless fear.
Matthew understood that she was in great shock.
He squatted down and spoke softly, "Norah, open your eyes and see. I am Matthew. Those men are no longer here. I am here to save you."
Matthew?
Was it him?
But how could he be here?
Norah was a little unconvinced.
Seeing her doubts, Matthew continued seriously, explaining, "I am Matthew. Open your eyes and take a look."
Norah slowly opened her eyes. She was cautious and squinted at Matthew. Not until she confirmed it was Matthew did she widen her eyes.
Her eyes were wide open and full of tears.
She opened her eyes but did not say anything, so Matthew called out concernedly, "Norah..."
When he called her name, the tears in Norah's eyes fell and trickled down.
"Oww..." Noraj cried out loudly and unrestrainedly, "I'm so scared. I'm frightened."
"You've finally come to save me."
Norah cried, reaching out to hug Matthew. Her whole body clung to him.
Her hands held him tightly as if she feared he would leave.
"They're so scary. I'm so scared."
"Thank you for coming to save me!"
"Matthew, thank you. You saved me every time I was in danger. I'm so lucky that I must have saved the world in a previous life."
Norah was venting. Only then could she not be so scared and stop thinking about what had happened.
"Alright. Don't think about it. I'll take you back."
Matthew got up and picked her up in a horizontal hug.
"Hmm."
However, when Matthew turned around with Norah in his arms, he saw Shawn.
Shawn looked at the two of them with anger in his eyes.
He clenched his fist. He would have wanted to punch Matthew in the face if he hadn't restrained himself.
Good, very good.
This was why she refused him and refused to take the bracelet given by his Grandparents?
"So that's why you came to the bar while sending me a message to come and enjoy the scene in person? Norah, very good, you're good." Shawn's gritted his teeth and said with rage
Half an hour ago, Shawn had received a message from Norah, a simple voice message.
Because Shawn was Norah's husband while he was just an ordinary friend of hers.
This was enough.
"You will understand later," Matthew said.
Putting Norah at the back door, Shawn got into the driver's seat and locked the car door, giving Norah no chance to escape.
Norah didn't have the strength to escape.
Just now, she forced herself to calm down as she was afraid.
But now the car started, and everything was quiet again; the alcohol in her body took over her mind again.
Soon, she was dizzy again.
By the time she arrived home, Norah was quite drunk.
However, she still resisted Shawn's approach.
On the way home, Shawn received a phone call from Anthony, telling him in detail what Norah had experienced at the bar.
When he heard that she was surrounded by several men and was in danger, he wanted to tear those men apart.
He immediately instructed Anthony to find someone to deal with those men.
Anthony replied, "I've called the police. Those men are now being held at the police station."
"Then punish them according to the most severe criminal law. Let them be in jail as long as possible," Shawn growled.
Carrying Norah home, Shawn smelled her all over the alcohol and put her straight into the bathtub. He drenched her with hot water.
He was furious at the thought of her going to a bar alone and almost running into danger, "Norah, you're bold enough to go to the bar by yourself. What if you run into danger?"
Norah was not awake and still dizzy.
When she heard Shawn speak angrily at her, she got up from the bathtub, rested her chin on the bathtub's edge, blinked her eyes, and said pitifully.
"Danger? But for me..."
She smiled and pointed toward Shawn, "You're the biggest danger, don't you know?"
