Chapter 197 Norah Called Him
Shawn woke up to find that he was in the hospital.
He had suffered some serious injuries, but thankfully, he had no internal injuries. He had only a few non-fatal external injuries.
Shawn had rested for two nights, and he was doing much better.
His upper body was wrapped in a bandage, which looked a little scary.
The moment he opened his eyes, he saw Lilian lying next to him.
Shawn moved his finger. Then, Lilian immediately woke up.
Lilian was overjoyed to see him awake. She cried and laughed as she said, "Shawn, are you awake? Are you really awake? I'm not seeing things, right?"
"I'm fine. Don't worry."
After saying that, Shawn felt guilty thinking about what had happened that day.
In particular, those scenes were so real that he could barely breathe.
However, he had to admit that he had come back from there alive this time because of her.
She was the one who had sacrificed herself to save his life.
"Lily, are you..." He wanted to know how Lilian was.
Halfway through Shawn's sentence, he couldn't say anything, but Lilian quickly reached out, covered Shawn's mouth, and said, "Shawn, don't say it. Don't say it."
"Whatever I did to save you, it was worth it. Not to mention all that, even if they wanted to kill me, I would still do it."
"As long as you live."
After saying it, Lilian kept shedding tears.
Looking at her, Shawn was heartbroken. After all, Lilian once was the most intimate person he had ever been to.
However, he felt sorry and guilty about her.
He felt deeply guilty about Lilian. It was like a thread tightly wrapped around his heart.
If possible, he would rather die that night than want her to save him in that way.
"I'm sorry. Lily, you did all this to save me."
Lilian shook her head desperately and said, "No. Shawn, you don't have to say that. I did it all for you willingly. Besides, if you die, they won't let me go."
"But I don't deserve you. You shouldn't have saved me. You know what? I'd rather die there than watch you do this."
"No. Shawn, I love you so much, so how could I watch you die? If you die, my life will be meaningless."
Lilian became more and more emotional as she spoke.
Suddenly, she jumped into Shawn's arms.
She hugged Shawn so quickly and hard that she touched Shawn's wound, causing him to groan in pain.
Lilian immediately looked at him nervously and said, "I'm sorry, Shawn. I didn't mean to do that. How are you? Are you all right? Do you want me to call a doctor?"
"No." Shawn shook his head.
Lilian became gentle this time. Then, she leaned sideways and rested her head in Shawn's arms.
Listening to his heartbeat, Lilian said softly, "Shawn, you don't have to blame yourself. And you don't have to feel bad about it either. I told you I did this willingly."
"What I want is simple. As long as you live, I want nothing more."
Lilian said as she put on a triumphant smile.
She felt even more smug in her heart.
She and Shawn had been together for a year back then.
She still knew him well. After what happened this time, whether he still loved her or not, he would not leave her alone.
Even though she had advised Shawn countless times not to blame himself, Shawn would still blame himself.
