Chapter 438 I’m Not Feeling Well 

Huston had never felt so helpless before. Despite engaging in the intimate act, there was still a vast distance between their 

hearts. 

At first, Evelyn struggled beneath him, but now she seemed indifferent, without even a hint of resistance. Though she still had unwillingness in her heart, she felt that resisting was 

futile. 

In the end, Evelyn only felt waves of heat coursing through her body, causing great discomfort. 

She might have a fever. 

In a daze, she couldn’t help but whimper, “Huston, don’t do this. I’m not feeling well…” 

“Relax, baby. I’ll make you feel comfortable.” 

Huston didn’t realize Evelyn’s unease and wholeheartedly immersed himself in the passionate encounter. It wasn’t until the heat subsided and her body remained scorching hot that 

he realized something was wrong. 

As he reached out to touch her forehead, his brows furrowed 

instantly. The scorching heat he felt in the palm of his hand shattered his composure. “Evelyn? Evelyn…” he called out, unable to longer disguise his concern. 

“Mr. Lloyd, Ms. Shelton doesn’t have any major health issues. A combination of excessive fatigue and throat inflammation caused her high fever of 39.2 degrees. She is currently receiving intravenous medication to bring down the fever. Once she wakes up, she should focus on a light diet and rest for two days to recover,” the family doctor calmly informed Huston by his side. 

Huston stood there with a solemn expression, exuding an innate sense of authority and aloofness. His presence was intimidating, and most people wouldn’t dare to approach him. However, his handsome face was undeniably captivating, making it hard for people to resist stealing a few more glances. The doctor lowered his gaze slightly, finding it difficult to imagine that the marks on the girl’s body in the bedroom came from Huston. 

Huston’s gaze remained fixed on the frail figure on the bed. “When will the fever subside?” 

“Well… It will probably take until tonight for the fever to subside. If it keeps recurring, she can take the medicine I left. As long as it doesn’t exceed 38.5 degrees, it should be fine.” 

“Okay, thank you.” After saying that, Huston glanced at Sadie 

and motioned for 

Sadie understood and made an inviting gesture. “Sir, this way, 

please.” 

Two people went downstairs, one after the other. The second-floor corridor returned to its previous silence. Huston stood alone for a while, seemingly lost in thought. After a few more seconds, he entered the room and closed the door. 

He walked straight to the bed. The closer he got to Evelyn, the more he couldn’t bear to see her flushed face due to her high 

fever. 

Her face was covered in sweat, with even some strands of hair sticking to her dampened cheeks. Even in her sleep, she slightly furrowed her brows, indicating the distress caused by 

the recent events was evident. 

These days she had been constantly by Ben’s side, unable to eat or sleep well, and her body had been greatly depleted. 

In addition to being tormented by Huston for so long, she 

definitely couldn’t bear it anymore. 

Huston sat by the bed and gently caressed her beautiful face. 

Suddenly, her words rang in her ears. 

“Huston, don’t do this. I’m not feeling well…”
