After finally getting the nod from Albert, Fiona signaled to Tyler and the crew waiting by the door. "I remember spotting an abandoned parking lot on our way over with a decent van parked there. Let's use that to get Ms. Aisha back."
Albert had barely stepped out of the meeting room when he nearly took a tumble, utterly flabbergasted. He shot a look back at Fiona, only to see her grinning and waving at him. Her calm, collected vibe defused his anger, leaving him with no choice but to storm off, feeling rather defeated.
Meanwhile, poor Josie was in so much pain she kept passing out. Every time she did, Fiona had Tyler give her a little slice with a knife to jolt her awake. Tyler, tough as nails, was just the right guy for the job.
Left in the meeting room were just Grandpa Woods, Jackson, and Fiona. Grandpa Woods gave Fiona a nod of approval, patting her on the shoulder. "The student has surpassed the teacher. Well done. I’m counting on you."
Grandpa Woods truly admired Fiona, confident that with Flora's impressive legacy, her offspring would certainly rise to the occasion.
Once out of the meeting room, Grandpa Woods made a call from his study. At the same time, Jackson got a message about being granted more authority by Grandpa Woods.
Jackson knew that Fiona’s visit had not only stirred up drama with the Larkin family but also paved the way for their eventual downfall in the state.
He wrapped Fiona in a warm embrace, gently caressing her cheek with a loving smile. "You up and left without a peep. Didn't it cross your mind what I’d do?"
