Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 883

In the operating room, the doctors exchanged puzzled glances. They couldn't believe Adrian was taking advice from a young girl over their expertise. Yet, with his father lying on the table, Adrian was adamant, leaving them no choice but to follow Flora's instructions. They administered the injection, but nothing happened. Karter showed no signs of life.

“Fire up the defibrillator!” Flora urged, her voice tinged with urgency. The doctors quickly complied. The device pounded against Karter's chest with a loud thud, each strike echoing like a heavy weight on their hearts. Minutes ticked by without any change.

Adrian buried his face in his hands, overwhelmed by despair as his last hope seemed to slip away. The doctors felt a pang of sympathy, convinced that Flora's efforts were futile. The man was gone.

But then—

“He's moving! The pulse is back! It’s stabilizing!” shouted the doctor monitoring the heart rate with excitement. The others rushed over, and seeing the signs of life, their relief was palpable. Yet, their joy was short-lived; without removing the bullet, Raul couldn't survive.

“Who's the best surgeon here?” Flora asked, eyeing the group. “I’ll guide you through it.”

With Karter’s wound so close to his heart and Flora's own hand not fully healed, she couldn't risk operating herself. She rattled off complex medical instructions, and while the doctors now respected her expertise, they looked increasingly perplexed.

The techniques Flora described were incredibly intricate, beyond their skill. If they could perform such feats, Karter wouldn’t still be on the table.

“Miss, I'm afraid none of us can do what you're asking,” one doctor admitted reluctantly.

Flora's brow furrowed. “Not even this?”

The doctors were speechless. What she considered simple was anything but.

Seeing no other option, Flora prepared to step in herself. Connor, reading her intent, looked concerned. Her hand wasn't ready for such strain.
