The loud closing sound made Jensen and Hattie trembled.
Hattie closed her eyes.
Jensen sighed and walked to her side to help her tuck in the blanket, "Why are you suffering this much?"
"If I don't do this, it will not end today." Hattie opened her eyes and said, "I'm sorry Jensen, I seem to have involved you again."
"Don’t talk nonsense." Jensen said, "Afterall, I am planning to develop abroad, the Gordon family's still can't reach that far yet."
The expression on Hattie's face was a bit tired.
"Tired? Sleep a little more, I'll stay here with you." Jensen touched her head and said softly.
Hattie slowly closed her eyes.
Jensen looked at her face with a complicated expression.
...
Damn it!
Greyson walked fast and finally couldn't help but stop, fiercely clenched his fist and smashed it towards the wall.
The nurse who passed by was startled and hurried to his side, "Sir! Do you... you need help?"
Greyson gave her a faint glance, "Get lost."
The nurse knew that he was not a person to mess with and saw that his hand was only red and not injured, so she silenced and quickly left.
Greyson's expression was gloomy. He looked at his swollen hand and sneered.
Greyson said Hattie was cheap. In fact, he was not that good either.
When he heard about Hattie's accident, he rushed to the hospital and never left her side day and night.
For her sake, he could even back out of the marriage with the Porter family.
But what about her?
As soon as she woke up, she got all mushy with Jensen, and even said she wanted to leave with Jensen?
What did she take Greyson for?
Hattie was a woman who was not worthy of mourning for!
Greyson deliberately ignored the pain in his heart, tensed his facial expression and left the hospital.
...
A few days in a row, Hattie was quietly recuperating in the ward. Her condition finally was better, and she could be transferred to the general ward. Greyson never set foot in the hospital again.
Jensen kept watch over Hattie every day.
Hattie's body was getting better and better, but her mental state was getting worse and worse.
