There are too many unsolvable problems in this world, like her own marriage and Agnes‘. 

The family drama of the older generation shouldn’t have anything to do with Jared, but after all, he is a Whitfield and Alyssa’s favorite little brother. 

If Agnes wanted to get over it and stay with Jared, that seemed almost impossible. 

All Kerri could do was to be there for her, but didn’t know how to comfort her. 

Agnes holed up in the villa for a few days. 

Her mood finally chilled out a bit.

She and Jared were just two ships passing in the night.

As she walked through the secretarial department, everyone politely addressed her as the CEO’s wife. 

She used to be a little shy, but it sounded good. 

But at this point, Agnes was feeling the irony. When Leo saw Agnes coming, it was like seeing a savior. “Ms. Pritchard, you’re finally here. Mr. Whitfield has been turning Tim Group into an icebox these past few days. It’s affecting everyone in the secretarial department. We can barely hold on. I wonder if you could go in there and talk to him, or we might all be quitting.” 

Leo was exaggerating on purpose. 

But these days, Jared was in a really bad mood. In this few days, Jared barely spoke unless he was in a meeting. 

Even in meetings, he was often distracted. 

But when he’s distracted, he could still deal with his work well. 

If an employee in the secretarial department misread a number while reporting work, he could spot it immediately. He would then blow his top and tell the person to resign. 

Originally this was not a big deal, but everyone could see that these days their CEO’s aura was cold and serious, and his mood was very bad. Now, hardly anyone dared to approach him. 

But Leo was happy to see Agnes. He knew her well enough to know that she was the only one who could get Jared in this state. 

Regardless of what was going on between them, if Agnes came to find him voluntarily, it must mean that she wanted to make amends.
