Scott was referring to Alex, whom Shannon had just recently rescued from being trapped in the body of the mosaic scutes tortoise.
Now, what nonsense was Alex up to?
Shannon was genuinely puzzled, while Benjamin looked like he was one second away from tearing the smartwatch off her wrist.
As much as they didn't want to get dragged into Alex's drama, Shannon decided to return to the Jensen residence with Benjamin after handing everything to Leah and Peanut.
It wasn't because she was worried he'd go through with the decision of becoming a monk, but because he was Adam's younger brother. She didn't want to make things harder for Adam.
The moment they stepped in from the outside, they were greeted by Adam's cold voice. "Say that again. What exactly do you want to do?"
Without waiting for an answer, he continued, "I'm fine with you wanting to join the monastery, but don't drag Shannon into this mess."
Adam clearly had no intention of meddling in Alex's affairs either, but for Alex to pull this stunt right after being rescued by Shannon, the latter could easily be afflicted.
Hank chimed in, "Come on, Dad. Stop it already. Eva's just a kid. Do you want her to grow up and see all adults being this chaotic?"
Alex instantly flared up after hearing Hank label him as chaotic. Just as he was about to throw a fit, a thought seemed to strike him.
He forced the anger down and switched to a calm demeanor as if he'd seen through all worldly concerns. "There's no need to talk me out of it. I've made up my mind."
This was the grand decision he'd come to while being stuck in that tortoise body for so long. He had to leave, and more importantly, stay away from Shannon!
As if summoned by his thoughts, Shannon and Benjamin walked through the door just after he spoke.
Memories of being trapped in the tortoise body sent Alex's plump body shuddering a little. Though it'd just been half a month, his body, once possessed by the mosaic scutes tortoise, had noticeably put on weight.
The mosaic scutes tortoise had developed slight enlightenment after being possessed by Albany, but it was just slightly smarter than an average tortoise.
After being thrown into a human body out of nowhere, it panicked, and eating was its coping mechanism to calm down.
It started by trying to munch on tortoise food, but the Jensens would never allow that. So, they had the chefs cook it proper meals.
