Joyce and Sebastian left, but Emily didn't say goodbye to her. Instead, Emily asked Lisa to find a modeling studio to perk Emily up daintily and then begged Franklin to take herself to Brent Family's Residence.
Franklin was in a good mood because she didn't make any more trouble, but he was still shocked to hear that she wanted to go to Brent Family's Residence.
"Why do you want to go there?" Franklin frowned.
No matter four years ago or now, she probably didn't want to meet Mrs. Brent! Brent Family's Residence was an extremely dangerous place for her. He couldn't figure out why she would want to go there.
Emily answered, "Of course I go there for a visit. I haven't been there for four years. I don't know what it is like now."
"Do you really care about the changes in Brent Family's Residence?" Franklin gazed at her and asked.
Emily pursed her lips because she felt nervous. Then she had to tell the truth, "I just want to visit Mrs. Brent."
"Why?" Franklin asked.
Didn't she hate his mother the most in the past? Why did she suddenly want to visit her?
Emily finally became impatient so she shouted angrily, "I just want to visit your mother. Can't I? Won't you meet even this small wish of mine?"
Franklin frowned and said, "It's not that I don't want to meet your wish. I just want to know what on earth you are going to do there."
"Oh, do you still suspect that I will harm your mother? If you don't take me there with you, that's OK. Franklin, I want to break up with you. Bryce has been missing, so I'm afraid of nothing. Others' lives have nothing to do with me. If I die, it's no big deal. Only if I die, you won't threaten me." Emily said angrily and left.
But as soon as she turned around, she was hugged by Franklin.
Franklin sighed, "Come on, don't be mad at me. I'll take you there. I'm not worried that you'll harm her. I'm worried about..."
"I'm worried about you!"
"Really? Seriously?" Emily was overjoyed so she immediately turned around to ask him.
Franklin smiled, nodded, and kissed her on the face.
Emily was so happy that she quickly perked herself up to go out with Franklin.
Because the trip was all a bit last-minute, Franklin didn't inform Mrs. Brent of this with a call and then took Emily there.
Unexpectedly, there were other guests in Brent Family's Residence. Ivy was there, so Mrs. Brent served her in the drawing-room.
Emily and Franklin walked to the drawing-room. When they reached the door, they heard Mrs. Brent triumphantly saying to Ivy, "Ivy, have you heard that the son of Emily, the bitch, is missing? Now he's missing. Hmph, it's really retribution. She seduced Franklin and alienated Franklin and me. We are mother and son! Now her retribution is here. She will know the feeling of losing her son."
Franklin frowned and was about to walk in angrily. But he didn't expect to be stopped by Emily. She shook her head at him with a calm face and continued to listen to Mrs. Brent.
"Auntie, although I don't like Emily very much either. But this... is quite tragic. I heard that her son is only three years old. A three-year-old child, I can't imagine who took him away. It's a little pitiful to think about it." Ivy, who had always treated Emily with disdain, actually said these words, which surprised Emily.
Mrs. Brent snorted and scolded, "Why are you so kind, you silly girl? Don't forget that. If it weren't for her, Franklin would have married you."
"Auntie, stop it. I feel sad whenever you mention it. But even without Emily, Brother Franklin would have married Sister Avery. It would not be me." Ivy sighed.
