Chapter 15 The Last Surviving Knostican Man

I

As Queen Asalea opened her eyes, surprise flashed through her whole face. How did he survive the Ecleteon Werewolves’ attacked? She knows the man and the man almost literally jumped when he recognized her.

“Marshall! You are alive!” Queen Asalea leaped from her father’s throne, ran, and hugged the man, who hugged her back laughing and crying.

“Princess, I know you are alive, I knew it in my heart,” Marshall exclaimed looking at Asalea happily.

“I never knew that you survived the attack Marshall.” Asalea with twinkling eyes fixed her gaze at the man. Marshall is her best friend. They grew up together. He is the son of his Father’s right-hand man. He considered him as his brother.

“I am ashamed to tell you how I survived, but I will tell you anyway. I was at the men’s comfort room when the attack happened. As I heard the commotion, cries, and shouts, I locked the comfort room’s door and hide there until I felt that everything has been cleared already. I stayed here by myself, without letting anybody knew that I am alive.” Marshall told Asalea.

Asalea cried upon hearing his story. “Good that you did not get out of that place Marshall, don’t worry, I will never consider you as a coward. What you did is right, otherwise, you could have been dead also. No one, not even I could be a hero to defeat the Ecleteon’s that time.” She said, in between her sobs.

Marshall caressed her hair, “Did you use that time your ability to be invisible and ran?

“Yes, I did. If I have not done it, I might have been dead too.”

“Where are you staying now Princess?”

Asalea looked down, “I am now the Queen of the Glodeous Kingdom Marshall. I recently married King Timodore.”

“Wow, that’s great Princess! I mean Queen Asalea.” Marshall was smiling from ears to ears.

“I did it because at first, I intend to use the King’s power to revenge against the Ecleteon Werewolves, later on, however, I knew in my heart that I married him not only because I needed him in my revenge but because I came to love him already.” Asalea sadly stated, still with tears in her eyes.

“That’s wonderful Princess, at least you are not just forcing yourself to live with him for that revenge purpose. I hope I could meet King Timodore one day.” Marshall is trying to lighten up the mood of the woman. He can sense that something is bothering her.
