Chapter 16 Her Revelation, His Anger

I

With a blank expression, King Timodore motioned to Queen Asalea to follow him.

He looked at Sulie also and told her to search for Toremo, then made his long strides going to their bedroom, as requested by Queen Asalea.

Before following her husband, Queen Asalea gave Sulie a dismal look. “I never thought that a woman as decent looking as you is actually a harlot in disguise,” she said before turning her back.

Sulie just shrugged off her shoulders as if she did not care and smiled triumphantly. “Your crown will be mine, Queen Lea,” she murmured as she wickedly stared at Queen Asalea’s retreating form.

Sulie thought Queen Asalea never heard her murmur, but with the strong sense of hearing of the latter, she clearly heard Sulie’s words. “Your wish Sulie, I won’t allow you, over my dead body. You cannot touch my husband again.” In between gritted teeth, Queen Asalea whispered, with the intention of letting Sulie heard it also. She let her soft voice traveled through the air going to Sulie.

As Sulie’s ears were filled by Queen Asalea’s voice, she was stunned for a moment but her selfish desires and desperateness to get King Timodore made her uttered words again challenging Queen Asalea. “That’s what you think Queen Asalea. I am Sulie, you can never threaten me.”

“Then let’s see, Sulie.” Queen Asalea retorted with fierceness in her tone.

Inside their room, both King Timodore and Queen Asalea were silent for a while. It was Queen Asalea who managed to find her voice after minutes of silence.

“Why? Am I not enough yet? Did I not satisfy you? Please tell me.” Queen Asalea’s voice was almost shaking.

King Timodore looked at Queen Asalea with resentment in his eyes, “You lied and fooled me Princess Asalea of Knostican Kingdom!”

Queen Asalea has been mortified when she heard how she was called by King Timodore.

“How, how did you know about that?” stammering Queen Asalea looked horribly into the sharp eyes of King Timodore that has been cast on her without any flicker.

“You think, you can fool me that long? Do you think I am stupid enough not to know? Not King Timodore, not me, Princess Asalea!” His voice was like a sharp knife cutting Princess Asalea’s heart into pieces.

With shaking knees, Queen Asalea sat at the edge of their bed, trying to control the tears that are about to fall. She tried to be brave. “Are you condemning me right away, without giving me the chance first to be heard?”
