Chapter 27 To Revive the Knostican Palace

I

Inside their bedroom, Queen Asalea got something below their bed; a bag of pieces of gold. She gave it to King Timodore.

“What is this?” King Timodore asked while getting the black bag handed to him by Queen Asalea. “Ouch, this is heavy.”

“Please look inside my love. I will be asking a favor from you,” she replied with hope in her eyes.

King Timodore furrowed as he saw the pieces of gold inside the bag. “What is this all about?

Queen Asalea sat on their bed and motioned for the King to sit beside her. “We have a lot of that at the Knostican Palace. My parents showed me that day that I was crowned the Princess of Knostican. I only thought about it lately and found out that all are still safely kept inside the secret room of our palace.”

King Timodore is listening while his eyes are fixed on Queen Asalea’s face. “Okay, so what are you plans, may I know?”

“I want to revive our Knostican Palace my love using a part of those tons of gold kept by my parents there. Would you help me please?” Queen Asalea’s heart is expecting the King’s positive reply.

King Timodore gazed at Queen Asalea and spoke in his low voice yet with authority, “You can keep all your gold; we will revive the Knostican Kingdom together. You have to remember always, your husband is a King and not a pauper.”

Queen Asalea hides a smile upon hearing his husband’s statement. “Thank you. I will remember that my love; sorry for forgetting sometimes.” She smiled, held his hands, and kissed them.

“Don’t smile at me like that wife; it is still so early to make love to you and I need to sign some documents in the office. Would you like to come with me? I will be checking the hotels also then we can pass through the Knostican palace thereafter.” He suggested.

Queen Asalea suddenly remembered Marshall at the Knostican Palace.

“Asalea, I am waiting for your answer.” Impatient already, King Timodore said.
