I
So the plan went on. Madelie accompanied Dreckos at the City Mall where a number of Elite Jewelry shops can be found. As instructed by King Timodore, Dreckos should bring Madelie to the Perfecti Jewelry Shop; the most expensive jewelry shop in town.
Dreckos knees is already feeling like jelly when they entered Perfecti Jewelry Shop. First, he is afraid of the jewelry prices that he saw, and second he is afraid that Madelie would reject him.
“Ey Madelie, go on, please help me choose a ring. Make sure that you like the ring and it is fitted to you.” Dreckos said while leading Madelie inside the shop.
Madelie furrowed when she heard Dreckos’ words. “We are buying a ring for the Queen Dreckos not mine okay. So I will pick something that I know suited for the Queen.” She snapped at Dreckos.
Dreckos’ face suddenly grew red. “Goodness, I rather back out now with our plan; I think it will not work,” Dreckos thought while feeling some horses running into his heart. He could hear the fast beating of his heart.
“Dreckos look at that? I am sure the Queen would love that!” Madelie is pointing to a very exquisite diamond ring that costs Ninety-Five Thousand Pounds. Dreckos would like to die at that instant. He calculated; if the King would shoulder the fifty percent of the costs, he will be left paying for forty-seven thousand five hundred pounds. “Goodness it will be my salary from the King for more than two years”, Dreckos’ mind whirled.
“Hey, Dreckos! What are you thinking? Is this okay? You think that would be fine?” Madelie insisted.
Dreckos has been awakened from his deep thoughts when Madelie tagged his left arm.
“Oh, sorry my Madelie; ahhm can you choose another one, let us have some choices first.” He replied in a surprised tone.
“What Dreckos? What do you mean MY MADELIE? Are you in your proper frame of mind right now?” Madelie once again sneered at him.
“Don’t mind me Madelie, I was just joking. Come on choose something else; a ring with a better design.” He encouraged the woman whose brows are all raised now.
Madelie turned her back from Dreckos and once again looked at the rings inside the glass shelf.
“That one, oh my, that one Dreckos, it is so majestic; it will be well fitted to the Queen’s finger,” Madelie exclaimed and the sales lady got the ring and showed it to Madelie and Dreckos.
When Dreckos saw the price of the ring, he wanted to run and jump down the shopping mall. The ring costs One Hundred Five Thousand Pounds. Dreckos felt dizzy.
“I like this one better Dreckos than the other one. Here, Miss, we will take this ring for the Queen of Glodeous.” Madelie said as she tried to fit the ring in her ring finger. She gasped as the ring fitted her ring finger well.
