Lea managed to catch a few hours of sleep at school. After returning to the hospital, Lorrand handed over the preliminary examination results for Lorenzo. 

Her days consisted of analyzing Lorenzo’s wrist injury, researching surgical options, and catching up on sleep. 

Although she continued to attend school, most of her time was spent sleeping. 

“Lea, since you’re here, why not pay attention in class? After all, we have final exams coming up,” the teacher advised. 

“Sir, I’m listening,” Lea replied, yawning as she lifted her head from the desk. 

The teacher was momentarily at a loss for words. 

The students were also at a loss. 

“So, what did I just talk about?” the teacher asked. 

Lea recited everything the teacher had just covered and even predicted what the teacher would say 

next. 

The teacher and the students were stunned. ‘Is it really possible for her to listen while sleeping?‘ 

The problem was, she slept through both class time and breaks. 

Even amidst the chaos of recess, she still managed to sleep soundly.

“Hey, Steve, what’s with that expression? Why do you look like you’re staring at fools?” 

“Yeah, why do you seem to look down on everyone?” 

“Why?” 

There was no doubt that Steve indeed regarded them with a look of disdain. 

Ever since Steve discovered that Lea was Dr. Berry, he understood the level she operated at. No, he didn’t truly know her exact capabilities, but he was well aware that Lea’s abilities were far superior compared to the talents within their school. 

After joining the legal department at Riverview Hospital, Steve learned about the hospital’s major projects and her involvement in them. He realized the extent and cutting–edge nature of the fields she was involved in, and how hard she worked. 

Her field of study was worlds apart from everyone else’s. 

Lea was essentially a scholar and researcher. The school’s coursework was merely the tip of the iceberg in her research, and the others were just students. 

The gap between these two levels was too vast to compare. 

Shannon glanced sympathetically at everyone and then looked away. She noticed the latest, most challenging international math competition paper spread out on the desk where Lea had been napping. Lea had completed it during the break earlier. 

Over the past few days, not only had Lea attended classes and caught up on missed notes, but she had also been working through advanced math papers from around the world. This was the last 

one. 

This was the last one. 

Shannon felt a pang of frustration and decided to give it a try herself. However, after three days, she hadn’t managed to finish a single page and struggled with several problems. 

So, trying to compete with Lea in final exam scores was essentially a form of self–torture

The crowd was momentarily speechless. 

“Ignore her and Steve. They’re just Lea’s followers, blindly adoring her without any independent thought”

Shannon and Steve were at a loss for words. 

Abigail and Leona glared at Lea and her friends, their eyes burning with resentment and envy. Previously, when Lea was detained and away from school, she was vilified and criticized daily. 

Now, just a few days after her return, all attention was on her, and she was being admired and respected. 

As soon as the bell rang, signaling the end of class, the classroom erupted into noise and activity. Lea had just settled down on her desk, ready to sleep.

Rita had taken the opportunity to sit on her desk, looking down at her with her phone nearly pressed against Lea’s face. “Lea, look at this. Abigail’s cousin Calvin is innocent.” 

Lea tried to contain her rising frustration, squinting at Rita with eyes that sparkled with sharp intensity. 

Rita felt a chill at her gaze but quickly pushed the thought aside as the news online surged through her mind, driving her to ignore the discomfort. 

She held up her phone and addressed the crowd. “Look, the truth about the Calvin incident is out. That young model used improper methods to get close to him, drugged him, and then an accident happened. This was confirmed by the woman’s own parents, and there is solid evidence. The police have already cleared him.” 

The video on her phone was a live broadcast showing Calvin being released from the police station. A large group of media personnel surrounded the scene, broadcasting live. 

“You can all check your phones and see for yourselves. It’s trending,” she added. 

A few students at the front had seen some of it, but as Rita spoke, everyone around pulled out their phones and began checking online. 

It was indeed reported that the victim’s parents had come forward, stating that their daughter had a
