Hey, My Twins Babies novel Chapter 88

Brian realized that what he did today hurt Winnie a lot and that it was necessary for him to explain.

"Klara was one of my employees' wife. Four years ago, he met a car accident and passed away, leaving his wife, his young children and his parents who are not very healthy. Klara had to support the family on her own. Therefore, I must help her."

Winnie was surprised when she suddenly heard the explanation from Brian, but she didn't interrupt him. She just listened quietly because she was interested in knowing if Klara was more unfortunate than her.

"I let her work in my company. At the beginning, she was a secretary in the secretarial pool, but she always worked around me. Feeling guilty about that employee, I have been taking care of her all the time. Klara also worked very hard. A year after she worked for me, I promoted her to be an exclusive secretary to me. I thought it would be more convenient for me to take care of her, but it didn't occurred to me..."

Brian stopped here.

"It never occurred to you that she would fall in love with you."

Winnie completed what he want to say.

"You're an outstanding man and you cares so much for her. Any woman in her position would fall in love with you. It's not Klara's fault. It's your fault."

Winnie put on a silly smile. Brian disliked and hated her, but she still fell in love with him when she was in difficult position, not to mention Klara who was always protected by him.

"You help her..."

Winnie wanted to continue to analyze, but she suddenly realized that she couldn't continue to analyze. It was very likely that Brian also liked Klara, otherwise he wouldn't let her apologize without asking whose fault it was.

"It made your heart ache to see her suffer a little grievance, so you just came to her defense the moment you saw me scold her."

"It wasn't that my heart ache to see her being aggrieved. I just felt guilty about my employee when I saw her being sad."

Brian explained.

"There is no essential difference. You are afraid that you'll fail your employee and you are afraid that Klara will be aggrieved. Naturally, I become the villain. I deserve being misunderstood."

She should be the most aggrieved one. No one could be as aggrieved as her both in the past and in the future. If God knew her grievance, the God would pity her very much.

Thinking of this, Winnie put on such a bitter and puzzled smile that there were tears in her eyes.

It made Brian's heart ache to see all her expression changes. He didn't agree with what she said. He didn't considered her to be a villain. He just couldn't handle things calmly when she was involved.

"Winwin, what happened today..."

He tried to explain, but Winnie didn't give him a chance. She was afraid that Brian would get excited again as he spoke and then force her to apologize to Klara.

"Stop. You'll be disappointed if you want me to apologize to her. In your opinion, she is unfortunate. However, she is lucky enough to have your protection."

In Brian's view, Klara was the most pitiful woman. However, Winnie thought that Klara was much luckier than she was.

Klara luckily came across Brian, but no one had helped her when she was in her most difficult times.

Thinking of the past and the present, Winnie couldn't help crying. The first tear fell on Brian's face. In an attempt to escape, she got up and got out of bed hurriedly. At this moment, her cell phone rang.

After looking at the caller ID in a panic, more tears streamed down her face.

Winnie turned around in fear that her kids would be worried about her after seeing her crying like this.

She went to the window, stood there with her back to Brian and then answered the phone.

"Aunt Isobel."

Her voice was nasal, which exposed the fact that she was crying.

"What's wrong? Are you crying?"

Isobel asked worriedly.

"Hmm."

Hearing her voice, it became even difficult for Winnie to stop weeping. Afraid that Isobel would be worried about her, she had to cover her mouth with her hand and try her best to stop weeping.

"Who bullied you?"

Isobel continued to ask.

Winnie took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down.

"Nobody did. I cry just because of the plot of TV play. Don't worry. You know what I'm like. Who dares to bully me?"

Winnie spoke with pretended casualness, but she felt her words were ironic. It wasn't that no one dared to bully her. As a matter of fact, she not only couldn't avoid being bullied, but also couldn't resist.

At this time, Winnie found that someone hugged her from behind with great force. She felt a sense of security and a peace of mind and therefore closed her eyes.

If only the man hugging her wasn't Brian and would protect her and would fall in love with her!

However, it was just fantasy. He would never love her.

"You silly girl, the plots of TV plays are not real. Don't take them seriously."

Aunt Isobel was scolding her lovingly. This was the realest feeling. Her love was the most steadfast love.

Aunt Isobel said that the plots of TV plays were fake, but Winnie felt that the plots of TV plays were much more real than what she was experiencing now.

"Aunt Isobel, do you telephone me for anything?"

"Nothing. I just want to know how you and kids are doing recently."

Isobel would make a phone call to Winnie every once in a while to simply ask how they were doing.

"We're fine. Don't worry about us. How's Vanessa doing recently? Did she work hard enough these days?"

Winnie managed to calm himself down, but she still feel aggrieved because Brian was hugging her from behind.

"She's having a general revision. In the past few days, she's a little listless. Perhaps it's because she's under too much pressure. If you have time, make a phone call to her and encourage her more."

"Aunt Isobel, don't worry about it. I'll call her tomorrow. Aunt Isobel, I've still got some work to do, so I have to hang up now."

Winnie hung up the phone after saying these few simple words.

"Let go of me. I'm going to cook for you."
