Winnie came close to her desk, directly took out her mobile phone from her bag and had a look.
"There is no missed call. Why would you hear it ringing?"
Winnie still spoke in a serious voice. She did not believe what Klara said. Considering that her cell phone was in her bag and the door of her office was closed, people outside should not be able to hear even if it was ringing.
"Really? I must have misheard."
Her eyes wandered around.
"Well, forget it. Winnie, I'm not going to disturb you now. I'm going out."
Klara left quickly, which made Winnie even puzzled.
If it were Winnie that was rummaging through Klara's bag, Klara wouldn't believe an excuse like that.
After searching her bag, Winnie found that nothing was missing. Therefore, Winnie didn't continue to pursue this matter, although she had doubts about it.
With her bag, Winnie closed the door of her office and returned to the President's office.
After they came to the underground parking lot, Winnie went directly to her car, but Brian stopped her by pulling her.
"What's the matter?"
Winnie asked in perplexity. Worrying that someone would be watching them, she looked around.
"Drive your own car."
Brian said coldly, directly pulled her and walked in the opposite direction.
"My car is over there."
Winnie was somewhat puzzled.
"That's Leo's car, not yours."
Brian said coldly. When he just finished his words, they had come up to a new car.
"This is your car."
Brian said in a cool way, but Winnie became more perplexed after hearing what he said.
It was a limited edition red Mercedes-Benz SUV. Winnie knew that it was expensive the moment she saw the car logo.
"You got it wrong. It's not my car. "
Winnie said with self-deprecation.
"I bought it for you, so it is yours."
"Get in the car."
Brian didn't give her the opportunity to retort, directly opened the door and pushed Winnie to get in the car. Then he sat in the driver's seat.
After that, he started the car and drove out of the parking lot.
Mr. Bennet, I think you should have the use of your car. I dare not use your car any more. I can't afford to compensate for it."
Winnie refused Brian, breaking the silence.
She still clearly remembered what happened last time. How dared she take the risk again? If she was jerked around by Brian again, she would not be able to afford to compensate.
"Last time, the car belongs to the company, so you have to give it back. This time, I bought this car for you personally. No matter what happens, you don't have to give it back."
Brian could only give such an explanation. He was embarrassed about what he did last time, but he considered it worthwhile because he kept Winnie successfully.
"In this case, it's even more inappropriate for me to accept it. If anyone knew it, there would be a lot of comments."
Winnie rejected for the second time. No matter whose car it was, Winnie wouldn't accept it. She didn't want to be the topic of conversation at the water cooler.
"Don't flatter yourself. I'm not going to send it to you. I'm just going to lend it to you."
Brian suddenly began to speak in a cold voice with displeasure. However, he would still try to find a way to make Winnie accept the car because it was a thorn in his flesh that Winnie drove Leo's car.
"The safety factor of this car is high. You always drive to pick up the kids. I can rest assured if you drive this car."
He could only use the two children as a pretext.
Winnie lapsed into silence. She didn't expect that Brian would give her such a reason. It seemed that she flattered herself.
"Since you give it to me for the sake of children, I'll drive it for the time being. Thank you, Mr. Bennet."
After saying these words, Winnie looked out of the car. The expression in her eyes had always been confident and determined. Now, there was bitterness in her eyes.
Seeing that they came to pick up them together, the kids were really excited. Megan couldn't restrain herself and became excited, just like she did every time she saw Brian.
Seeing Brian, Luke was surprised at first, but then rushed to Brian happily.
Seeing that Luke was in a better mood, Winnie felt that the coming of Brian had had a value.
Then, they drove home together. When they passed the supermarket, Winnie got off the car and went shopping while Brian waited in the car with the kids.
Soon, Winnie came out of the supermarket with a bag in her hand. When she almost came up to the car, her phone rang. Hearing this, Winnie took out her phone.
However, before she could see who was calling and answer the phone, an accident happened.
A person on a motorbike passed her and robbed her of her mobile phone. That guy did it quickly and violently, so Winnie fell to the ground. What she took was also scattered on the ground.
Brian happened to see this. He hurriedly pushed open the door, got off the car and rushed to Winnie.
"How are you? Are you injured?"
Brian asked in a cold but worried voice.
As he spoke, he helped Winnie stand up.
"No, I'm fine."
Winnie was somewhat panic. It seemed that she was frightened by this accident.
"Are you sure that you're okay? Let's go to the hospital."
As he spoke, he carried Winnie in his arms. At this moment, he couldn't rest assured unless the doctor had examined her even if Winnie had claimed that she was fine.
"I'm fine. I'm really fine. Put me down quickly. If someone took a picture of us now, you'd be in the headlines again."
Winnie said in a panic. Although it felt good to be held in his arms, she didn't want to be attacked by women from all over the country.
Brian ignored what she said, went to the car with her in his arms and then put her into the car. Then he drove to the hospital.
"I'm fine. I just fell and I'm not fragile. Why should I see a doctor just because of it?"
Winnie didn't want to go to the hospital because she believed that the doctor would laugh at her if such a healthy person like her went to see a doctor.
"I can't rest assured before you go to see a doctor."
It seemed that Winnie was not injured, but Brian insisted on going to the hospital.
"You can rest assured now. I don't want to go to the hospital. Don't waste doctor's time, okay?"
Failing to persuade Brian, Winnie could only negotiate with him.
