His Destructive, Toxic Love novel Chapter 606

Eliza felt pretty down. She sat up slowly, staring blankly out the window, but the night wasn't offering any answers. Chelsea had a point. If he'd never let anyone in, how could they have ended up in such a private space?

"Hey, Chelsea, I need a drink," Eliza said, swinging her legs off the bed. She started sifting through her wardrobe, her fingers brushing over the clothes until she landed on a dress that was simple yet had a bit of flair. "I heard there's a new club on the east side. Let's go check it out."

Chelsea was lost in her phone for a moment, thinking. There were plenty of places to grab a drink; no need to dive into the chaos of a nightclub.

"Why not just hit up a cozy bar instead?"

"Can you dance in those tiny bars?" Eliza tossed the dress onto the bed. "And where's the fun in flirting with cute guys at a quiet bar?"

"Eliza, are you playing with fire?" Chelsea teased.

"If Casper's office can have condoms lying around, why can't I dance with some guys?" Eliza sent Chelsea a voice message with a grin. "If you won't join me, I'm going solo."

"Alright, alright, I'm coming. See you soon."

Eliza closed her phone, a satisfied smile curling her lips. After slipping into her dress, she took the time to perfect her makeup. Her long earrings danced gently with each movement, adding to her allure. She was a vision of understated glamour with each step she took.

As she opened her bedroom door, she nearly bumped into Casper. He looked at her, surprised by her stylish ensemble, his brows furrowing, "Where are you off to at this hour?"

"None of your business."
