His Ex-wife Is An Heiress (Amara and Tobias) novel Chapter 61

The look on Amara's face was enough to show how fed up she was with Fiona. It was the last straw and Amara was tired. But before she could utter a single word, Bethany stepped in.

“Ms. Larsen, I believe you’re being severely rude and out of line.” She stated firmly, making her displeasure known.

Fiona looked aghast. “Rude? Me? Out of line?”

“Yes. Not only are you insulting her without provocation, but you’re also insulting my friend. Amara does not seem in any way at fault and I don’t appreciate the way you’re treating her, Ms. Larsen.”

Fiona blinked in surprise. “You’re defending this slut-?”

“She is not a slut.” Bethany firmly cut her off. “Now apologize.”

“Apologize? Why the hell should I apologize to a lowly, servant bitch like her. I’m more than her, she’s meant to be the one apologizing for fucking around-“

“Fiona!” Bethany without meaning to, snapped. “Are you still this stupid? I thought you became smarter, but you’ve proven me wrong, you’re still like you were back then, thinking that you’re a God as long as you talk down to people and belittle them. How shameful.”

Bethany’s words hit home. The anger and frustration on Fiona’s features slowly began to dissipate and an expression that resembled shame, took its place.

“Shameful? You’re one to talk, a woman who couldn’t even keep her marriage running for three years-“

“I’d mind what I say if I were you,” Amara spoke up, glaring daggers at Fiona. “We’ve been very nice and understanding up until now, but don’t think that we’ll keep up the act if you keep speaking nonsense. Say one more thing and you just might find yourself in an unpleasant situation.”

A frown found its way onto Fiona’s face, but just as she parted her lips to form a retort, a foreign voice interrupted their altercation.
