Now here he was, after finally getting the courage to confess his feelings and her reply was a rejection.
He couldn’t help but chuckle. “Seems like I lose this one.”
Amara felt a sense of relief and cracked a real smile. “You’ll find someone better.”
His response was a simple smile. “Can we take a picture?”
The question came at random, but Amara didn’t see any reason to reject it. If this was his way of parting with his feelings for her, then she’d gladly go along with it.
“Sure.”
With a snap, a photo was taken, one of her and Helios. The server returned just then, taking up Amara’s attention while Helios got to work, posting the photo that had been taken on his social media account and smiling devilishly as he tagged his buddy-buddy, Tobias.
After Amara had placed her order, Helios stood up. “I should let you eat your food in peace now. See ya around, Amara.”
With that he walked away, leaving Amara to feast on the plate of spaghetti that was later severed, with utmost happiness.
That happiness however, faded the moment she stepped out of the restaurant and was roughly yanked by the arm.
Her glare was directed to a pair of gleaming black eyes that belonged to Tobias.
“You-“ Amara wanted to spark, but she knew better than to do that. Sparking never did any good for her at least when it came to Tobias’s case. “Let go of me this instance, Tobias, or else the station would be getting another call from me.”
Her threat seemed to have had the lowest effect on Tobias as he went ahead to completely ignore what she had said.
Instead, he asked. “You and Helios, what are you both doing here?”
