When Brittany entered Marlene’s bedroom, she happened to see Brennan getting ready to tidy up those love letters. 

She was clearly taken aback, then quickly snatched those love letters, pretending to be shocked as if 

it was the first time she had seen them! 

“Brennan, are these… all letters written by Marlene to you? How could she be so shameless and disregard ethical norms! You are her uncle, after all. Despite the blood relation, you have raised her single–handedly, and she should respect you like she would respect her father!” 

“She was really spoiled by you. If this continues, I think she will have the audacity to commit even 

worse and irreparable actions!” 

She shed a few tears, and took out her phone to open the WhatsApp page. “Brennan, look, these are 

the words Marlene said to me today! Look how unreasonable she is! You really can’t continue to 

indulge her, and you can’t let her continue to depend on you like this. Continuing like this will only 

harm her!” 

Brennan took the phone and the screen displayed the WhatsApp chat interface of Brittany and 

Marlene. 

The chat content was different from what was in Marlene’s phone, but Brittany didn’t know that 

Marlene had left her phone behind, and it was right in his hands. 

Brennan suddenly understood everything, it turned out that the chat pages Brittany had shown him 

before were all fake! 

It was a play she wrote and performed herself! 

She actually created an account with the same profile picture and WhatsApp name as Marlene’s! 

She was the one who slandered him, that little girl! 

She was the one who caused their relationship to fall apart like this! 

At this thought, Brennan became furious and could no longer control the anger within him! 

He swung his arm and slapped Brittany’s right cheek heavily, causing her face to visibly swell up. 

She covered her face, full of disbelief, and her voice trembled. 

“Brennan, you hit me just because I said a few words about Marlene? What did she do to make you 

blind to her true nature?” 

Brennan cursed and tightly gripped her neck with one hand, “Damn bitch, you still talk back even
