Brennan mobilized all his connections to find out Marlene’s whereabouts. 

Brennan had already found out which flight Marlene had taken that day, but he only knew the city where the plane landed. 

The survey project was confidential, and no one knew exactly where they were located. 

He simply moved to that small town and inquired about Marlene’s team everywhere. 

Finally, after one month, he encountered a team member responsible for purchasing supplies. 

Brennan was so excited that tears welled up in his eyes, but he didn’t dare to make a sound and quietly followed that person. 

It was not until the man loaded the supplies onto the car and drove towards the mountains that Brennan boldly followed in his car. 

The car drove into the mountains for two hours. Brennan was afraid of being discovered, so he followed at a distance, relying on identifying the tracks left by the car in front. 

Due to unfamiliarity with the road conditions, the car overturned at a bend on a downhill slope. 

He rolled down the hill with both himself and the car, and he ran out of the car enduring the pain. 

The car could no longer be driven, so in order not to miss this opportunity, he chose to walk along the track to search for Marlene. 

Brennan didn’t know how long he had been walking until it got dark. He saw a campfire in a cave and the vehicle used for purchasing supplies. 

He grinned; his cracked lips stretched wide. 

When Brennan appeared in front of Marlene, he was quite disheveled. 

He had become much thinner in these days, and looked a bit disheveled, with a haggard face. 

At this moment, due to walking on the mountain road for too long, the body was covered in dust, and there were two holes in the knees of the pants, and the tips of the shoes were also worn out. 

But the light in his eyes couldn’t be hidden, finally seeing Marlene, he was excited that he almost 

fainted. 

“Marlene, I finally found you!” 

He shed two tears as he spoke, and then burst into tears of joy.
