Chapter 109
The name “Seraphina” was absolutely forbidden in Eleanor’s presence.
Selena certainly knew how to strike where it hurt most!
And she had chosen Eleanor’s birthday celebration for this performance.
“She definitely isn’t the pack’s Luna!” Selena shook off her father’s restraining hand and looked at Aria with undisguised contempt. “If it weren’t for her using underhanded tactics to climb the pack hierarchy back then, could she have bonded into the Ravencrest Pack? Just look at what kind of person she is–she’s not even worthy of comparison with Sera!”
“Miranda, how did you raise your daughter to speak without understanding appropriate context? She’s embarrassing the entire Ravencrest Pack!”
Victoria didn’t particularly like Aria, but Aria was still her daughter–in–law and the pack’s Luna. Who did Miranda think she was to interfere in this matter?
Miranda looked embarrassed and quickly pulled Selena aside.
Eleanor had Victoria escort the other guests out of the room. Once they had left with Victoria, the whole hall became notably quieter.
The next second, the sharp sound of a slap echoed through the space.
Selena covered her stinging cheek, looking at Margaret in disbelief as the housekeeper stepped back.
Margaret spoke with measured authority. “This slap was on behalf of Elder Ravencrest. The Ravencrest Pack will not tolerate such a disrespectful young woman. If you continue this behavior, don’t bother returning to the pack again.”
When Margaret spoke these words, not a single member of the Ravencrest Pack dared contradict her.
