Chapter 21 

Today Lauren brought a gift to Leo, but because of Charlie’s sudden appearance, she did not take it out. After she and Leo finished, and washed their hands and feet, they sat on the sofa in Leo’s bedroom. Then Lauren took the gift out of her bag. 

“Wow!” Seeing the gift bag, Leo exclaimed in surprise and then raised his head with his bright eyes. He looked at Lauren with 

expectation.

Lauren took out the gift bag and placed it on the sofa. 

Leo was so excited and he couldn’t wait to see what it was. Lauren took out the gift in the bag and handed it to Leo, “This is for

Lauren had given many people gifts, but this was first time that she felt fulfilling. Her heart was full of happiness when she saw 

Leo was happy. 

“Yes,” Lauren nodded and said, “I don’t know what you like, so I bought all of these for you.” 

She continued. “See if you like them?” 

Leo looked at the gifts on the sofa, and his heart was full of joy. His little face showed happiness and he said, “As long as they are 

from you. I would like them.” 

Lauren was a little touched by Leo, and she held him in her arms, saying, “Why are you so cute?” 

Leo blinked his beautiful eyes, looking so happy. 

“Lauren likes me!” Leo thought in happiness. 

Lauren had been staying with Leo for the afternoon, and at first she wanted to stay 

Charlie. Lauren decided to leave before dinner.

The villa of the Bennett family was far from the city center, and there were no cars nearby. Lauren stood at the gate of the villa for a moment, and then took out her phone and hailed a car online. 

Lauren usually stayed in the laboratory and rarely went out. If something urgent happened, the company would send a car to pick her up, so she thought there was no need to buy a car. 

However, she wanted to buy a car now. With a car, she could drive to see Leo at any time and could drive him out to play. Lauren lowered her head and chuckled. 

A silver–gray Porsche stopped in front of Lauren, but Lauren didn’t notice that and she thought it was the car that picked her up. She didn’t think much and pulled the car door, sitting in the back seat. But the car didn’t move. 

Lauren looked up and she saw Charlie in the driver’s seat! 

Charlie didn’t wear the pink shirt, but a white one. He was not wearing a suit jacket, revealing a tight and firm chest. His arms were on the steering wheel. 

He glanced at Lauren through the rear view mirror, and he sneered coldly, “Am I your driver, Miss Bennett?” 

Lauren’s first thought was that she get into the wrong car and she also felt a little bit sorry about this. Charlie obviously 

misunderstood her.
