Soon enough, the brooch was sent to Emilia.
Emilia's body shook with excitement as she held the brooch in her hands.
She did not expect that Mr. Limbaugh would really buy her the brooch just because she said she wanted it.
Could Mr. Limbaugh have fallen in love with her? Was this... love at first sight?
Emilia felt blessed thinking about this.
"Mr. Limbaugh, thank you." Emilia played with her hair as she looked at Charleston bashfully.
There was an indescribable look on Charleston's face, but he still responded, "You're welcome."
Margaret, who had been listening in on their conversation, suddenly felt that the tomato in her mouth was tasteless.
She immediately spat it into the trash can next to her.
Charleston immediately asked, voice clear with concern, "What's wrong? Are you not feeling well?"
"I'm okay, just a little disgusted." Margaret wiped her mouth with a napkin.
Charleston was surprised at her honesty. With a wicked smile on his face, he started teasing her. "Are you jealous?" He asked.
"Feeling disgusted doesn't equate to being jealous." Margaret said, rolling her eyes at him.
"But jealousy can make you feel disgusted, you dummy!" Charleston touched the tip of her nose with his finger.
He then gently rested his chin on her shoulder.
The two of them instantly looked closer and more intimate with one another.
Emilia's nostrils flared up in jealousy. She tightened her grip on the brooch and comforted herself in her heart.
She told herself that Margaret was the one seducing Mr. Limbaugh but she was the person he actually loved. It was just not appropriate for him to get rid of Margaret right away, that was why he was only temporarily tolerating Margaret.
When the cruise party was over, Mr. Limbaugh would definitely get rid of this b*tch.
Then he would personally approach Emilia.
And she would be walking by his side, wearing the brooch gifted to her by him. They would make such a perfect match!
Emilia had already come up with the entire plot of a romance drama in her vividly imaginative mind.
What her inventive mind didn't piece together was why Charleston would force himself to tolerate Margaret if he didn't love her at all.
He was a great man of high status; it was unnecessary for him to be forcing himself like this.
