Zane replied and accompanied Yanis to finish dinner. Then, he sat with her in the living room for a while before taking her to her room. "If you need anything, just call the nanny."
Yanis nodded, "I know. Go and take care of your business."
Zane looked at Yanis sitting on the bed and couldn't resist leaning down to kiss her again. Lately, Zane had been kissing her frequently, making Yanis a bit overwhelmed.
"Wait for me," Zane said.
Yanis nodded, "Okay."
Albi had been waiting at the entrance according to the agreed time. When Zane came out, Albi opened the car door for him. "Mr. Lawrence, Mr. Perry and Mr. Cooke have already gone ahead."
Zane nodded and got into the car, with Albi sitting in the driver's seat.
As they drove towards the black market, Zane's phone rang.
Seeing the caller ID, Zane answered, "What's up?"
"Aren't you coming over?" Anthony's voice came from the other end of the call.
"I'm on my way, about five or six minutes away," Zane replied.
"Hurry up, those people are preparing to leave," Anthony said in a low voice.
"Thanks, I'll be there soon," Zane replied.
After hanging up the phone, Zane looked at Albi and instructed him in a low voice, "Drive faster."
Albi nodded and increased the speed.
When Albi stopped the car near the black market, Evan and Allan came over to greet them.
Zane got out of the car and walked straight inside. "Have you been here for long?"
Allan frowned while smoking, "Something's off tonight. There's barely anyone here, like ghosts."
Usually, the black market was crowded and bustling in the evening, with various people coming and going. But today, there were very few people around.
Zane scanned the surroundings, then headed towards the inside. "Anthony said those people are planning to..."
Before Zane could finish his sentence, several cars suddenly sped out from inside. The bright lights shone in their direction.
Allan raised his hand to shield his eyes from the light and muttered a curse.
As they were about to step aside to let the cars pass, they heard the roar of motorcycles coming from a nearby alley. Soon, a familiar voice echoed, "The kid is in one of the cars!"
Zane immediately recognized the voice and glanced in the direction of the cars before turning and heading towards where the vehicles were stopped.
"Mr. Lawrence!" Albi saw Zane walking towards the stopped cars and couldn't help but call out, puzzled.
Zane replied, "Stop them!"
Albi hurriedly followed Zane. "Mr. Lawrence, let me drive."
Zane didn't say anything and got into the car directly.
Allan and Evan quickly followed suit, and they drove after Anthony, who was already on his motorcycle, chasing the departing cars.
As they caught up, the cars increased their speed.
Albi's driving skills were excellent. In no time, they managed to block the cars in an area with fewer vehicles.
Once the car came to a stop, Zane was the first to get out.
