I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 446

Chapter 446 Not familiar enough to call me intimately

The words Anthony said were too hypocritical.
Myles looked at him coldly, "Master Austin's memory is not very good. Two days ago, didn't we just meet each other?"
"Really? I don't even remember. After all, I don't bother remembering irrelevant people."
Myles was not affected by Anthony's words. "Since when are you interested in this ?"
Anthony dusted off his cigarette ash, "Frankly speaking, my uncle was looking after this business before, but now that he's old and retired, I've taken it over. It's also a family business."
Myles was also familiar with this place, but the previous boss here was called Fatty.
Myles also didn't even know Fatty's real name.
Now, after hearing Anthony say so, Myles realized that this venue was actually owned by the Austin family.
"Then it seems that your family is also very powerful in this business."
Anthony smiled, "Compared to Mr. Myles, we are nothing."
Anthony dropped the cigarette butt between his fingers at his feet and crushed it out, "You're here for the woman inside, right?"
Myles followed Anthony's line of sight and could see that Isabel was pointing at someone inside and saying something emotionally.
But reading from her mouth, she should not be saying anything nice.
Because the two men standing across from her had bad looks on their faces.
Anthony said, "What's the relationship between this woman and you? If not your mother..."
Anthony was not a good person, but there was still a bottom line for him. He stopped, and then continued, "She has been eating and drinking here. It looks like she doesn't just get addicted."
Then he paused. "It is strange. we've always met each other recently, and every time you are looking for someone in my place. Do you think this is our destiny?"
Myles didn't take Anthony's words and asked him directly, "What do you want?"
"I should ask you, what do you want?"
"How much did she lose?"
"A million or so, but I heard she also owed money to Master Knight, so it's more than a million."
The two just stood by the car and talked for a while as if they had been friends for years.
"I'll pay for this for her."
Anthony sniffed and glanced at Myles, then nodded, "Okay, I'll have someone give you the detailed records."
"No need for that."
"Okay, I'll give you the card number. After you transfer the money, she will be released."
Myles hummed and took out his phone. "Card number?"
Anthony stared at Myles for a few seconds and took out his own phone, "Just transfer the money directly."
Myles transferred over a million dollars to Anthony's phone in five installments.
Anthony received the money. "You can take her now."
He then paused in his walk and turned to Myles. "I want to remind you that Master Knight is not a nice person to talk to."
Myles glanced at Anthony when he heard his words.
Anthony, however, said nothing more, turned around and walked in.
As soon as he left, Isabel was pushed out.
"Myles, you're here." Isabel smiled and greeted Myles, "Do you have money on you? Borrow some more for me?"
Myles frowned, "No."
The smile on Isabel's face disappeared instantly, "What? Now that you've had my daughter, but you're not even willing to give me money?"
Isabel's voice was so loud that people were frequently looking this way.
Myles face did not have any expression. "It's cleared here, but Master Knight's money has not been paid. Don't you know that?"
Isabel coldly snorted, "I gave you my daughter, so what, my daughter is not even worth a couple of million?"
Myles' face turned cold when he heard Isabel's words. "You are selling your daughter?"
"Didn't you also buy her?"
Myles was actually speechless by Isabel's words for a moment.
"I sold you my daughter, and you got a good deal but don't thank me for that, there's no one like you in this world!"
"Then there is a mother like you?"
Isabel said, "I only borrowed three hundred thousand dollars from Master Knight. Isn't it a drop in the bucket for you?"
"Didn't Master Knight tell you that for your three hundred thousand, you have to pay back three million at the end?"
Isabel was stunned and looked at Myles, "What do you mean?"
"This is on the paper you signed, don't you know that?"
Isabel's face finally changed. "I only took three hundred thousand!"
Myles had no intention of arguing with Isabel here and turned around to get ready to leave.
Only before he could take a few steps, Isabel stepped forward and pulled Myles, "Where are you going?"
Myles pulled his arm out of Isabel's hand, "I will also help you pay back the money on Master Knight's side. But if you still touch these things in the future, I will not clean the mess for you anymore."
"Also, if you go to Bonnie, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
Myles said and left, not giving Isabel a chance to speak.
"Ms. Isabel."
Just after Myles left, a female voice came from behind her.
Isabel followed the voice and did not recognize the person in front of her.
Mia stepped forward, "Aunt Isabel, don't you recognize me?"
Isabel stared at Mia for a few seconds, "You... are the daughter of the Read family?"
Mia nodded, "I didn't expect Aunt Isabel to remember me. I thought you didn't know me."
Isabel didn't like Mia very much before, and now even more, "We rarely met each other before."
Mia laughed, "But I can help Aunt Isabel."
Isabel was not impressed. "What a big deal for a little girl."
"Doesn't Aunt Isabel want to get your money back? I can give you money. The money is your win, and the loss is mine. How about it?"
Isabel originally wanted to leave, but after hearing Isabel's words, she stopped in her tracks and turned to look at her, "Are you telling the truth?"
Mia nodded her head, "Why would I lie to you?"
Isabel hesitated for a moment, "Then you give me the money now."
Mia stepped forward and took Isabel's arm, "The money is on the card, I can change the chips for you now."
Myles, after returning the money Isabel owed Maxim, left the black market directly, not knowing that after he left, Isabel started gambling again...
...
"After so many years, you still have not changed at all."
The woman sitting by the window in the luxuriously decorated western restaurant had exquisite makeup and smile in her face.
There was not much expression on Zane's face, and he just nonchalantly responded, "You, too, haven't changed at all."
The woman smiled, "Zane, let's eat together tonight?"
When he heard the woman call out his name, Zane frowned slightly. "It may not be convenient today. I have to go back to my wife."
Lana Griffiths's decent smile paused because of Zane's words. "Zane..."
"Just call me by my family name. After all, we are not familiar enough."
Not waiting for Lana to finish her sentence, Zane interrupted her.
The smile on Lana's face was slightly embarrassed, but only for a moment, she said again, "Zane, it's always okay to call you Mr. Lawrence, right? "
Zane said, "I'll leave now. I'll take my wife and invite you to dinner some day."
