Chapter 680: I believe in you, but I won't believe what he said.

Kellan didn't mind and after Yanis finished ordering, he turned to the waiter and said, "I'll have the same as her."

"Okay, please wait a moment," replied the waiter.

After the waiter left, Kellan's gaze never left Yanis' face even for a second. Despite trying to ignore Kellan's somewhat repulsive eyes, Yanis was still affected.

Yanis decided to confront Kellan directly and said with confidence, "Mr. Huo, if you have something to say then just say it."

Kellan chuckled lightly upon hearing Yanis' words and replied flirtatiously, "I don't really have anything to say but I must admit that Miss Thompson sitting in front of me is quite pleasing to my eyes. If I could see Miss Thompson more often it would definitely be a happy thing."

Kellan's words were somewhat frivolous as if he was intentionally teasing Yanis. If someone else had said this then Yanis may not have felt any discomfort but coming from Kellan made her feel uneasy.

Before Yanis could respond, Kellan spoke again saying with his voice raised slightly louder than before,"I must admit that I am envious of Zane suddenly having such good fortune being able to see Miss Thompson every day."

Yanis frowned in response asking sternly,"What exactly do you want?"

Kellen propped up his chin looking at Yanis saying,"Nothing really but I do want something..."

He paused briefly before continuing on with his sentence,"But I'm afraid Mr. Lawrence wouldn't approve since gentlemen don't take advantage of others' kindness."

Yanis laughed at what she heard responding playfully ,"Do you consider yourself a gentleman Mr. Huo?"

Kellen raised an eyebrow looking at Yannis asking curiously ,"Why? Am I not considered one in your eyes?"

Without answering him back , Yannis shifted her gaze away from him instead . Not wanting things between them getting any worse , Kellen stopped making frivolous comments . The waiter arrived shortly after bringing over their drinks which helped calm down Yannis' irritation . As she took sips from her iced fruit tea , she managed suppress some of her annoyance towards him . However , despite everything that happened so far today , there was no denying that deep down inside herself there was still some interest towards this man named Huo Ke Lan who seemed like he couldn't get enough beautiful women around himself - much like how women can never get enough bags or clothes they fancy . For Anna, it was probably because she wasn't like the other women who threw themselves at him that Kellan was slightly intrigued. Just like Yanis now. The more she ignored him, the more he wanted to conquer her. Even though Yanis belonged to Zane, he still had that thought in his mind.

Zane arrived quickly and headed straight for Yanis after entering the room. He scanned her up and down before finally relaxing when he saw that she was okay. He then turned to Kellan.

"Mr. Lawrence, what a surprise," Kellan hadn't even finished speaking when Zane suddenly kicked him.

Kellan was sitting down and although he tried to dodge as soon as he realized what was happening, it wasn't enough time.

Zane's kick had full force behind it and sent both Kellan and his chair flying over to one side.

Yanis didn't expect Zane to suddenly attack either so she didn't have a chance to stop him before Kellan hit the ground.

Then came Zane's second kick which followed immediately after the first one but this time Kellan reacted faster than before by rolling away from Zane's foot just in time before getting back up on his feet again quickly while looking at Zane saying: "Mr. Lawrence has quite a temper."

Zane coldly stared at him: "Do you want to die?"
